Wisconsin Supreme Court declines election map challenge: The race for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, which Democrat-backed Judge Susan Crawford won back in April, ensured that the state’s highest court retained its 4-3 left-wing majority. This outcome produced much consternation and resignation among Republicans. The fear was that Democrats would succeed in their challenge to the state’s congressional district boundaries and redraw the map in their favor prior to the 2026 midterms. However, in a surprise decision, the state’s highest court opted against hearing that challenge from Democrats. Republicans currently control six of Wisconsin’s eight congressional districts, which Democrats had been banking on redrawing in what many believed would flip one or more of those seats, raising the chances of Democrats regaining control of the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterms. Interestingly, Wisconsin’s current congressional district maps were drawn by Democrat Gov. Tony Evers.
Dem dunks on ICE by calling a fetus a baby: Rep. Pramila Jayapal forgot that, for a Democrat, unborn babies in the womb are not babies but clumps of cells. Evidently, it depends on the narrative. An illegal Guatemalan immigrant was pregnant with her seventh child when ICE detained her. She’d already lost custody of two of her children and had been arrested multiple times for child abuse. While in ICE custody, she suffered a miscarriage. That’s when Jayapal stepped in to post on X about the horrid care this woman was given while in custody, explaining that she “lost her baby,” was “denied” prenatal care, and was “fed food full of cockroaches.” HHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin responded to the post, explaining that the information is false. The woman was given full prenatal care and is wanted on a warrant for homicide.
CA’s massive trans problem: Female athletes in California are not given all the protections and rights that girls in other states receive. California still lets boys dress as and compete against girls to routinely steal awards and accolades that belong to them. Education Secretary Linda McMahon has had enough and issued an ultimatum Wednesday: California can enforce Title IX protections for girls, or this case can be handed over to the Department of Justice. California has nine days left to make the necessary changes before the DOJ intervenes. California Gov. Gavin Newsom has himself admitted that letting boys compete against girls is “deeply unfair,” but his actions say he’s okay with it. The agreement McMahon is offering would, in addition to protecting girls’ sports, restore to female athletes all “records, titles, and awards” that had been given to males.
FBI probing children’s hospitals for genital mutilation: Boston Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles are in the crosshairs of a new FBI investigation directed by Attorney General Pam Bondi against genital mutilation. Bondi explained that the Department of Justice “will not sit idly by” while American hospitals “mutilate our children.” Bondi’s memo specifically mentioned “female genital mutilation” (FGM), a Muslim practice that is designed to reduce or eliminate female sexual sensation. Despite Bondi calling out FGM, the real target of this investigation seems to be gender-transition surgeries, where the goal is to turn healthy genitals of boys or girls into an ill- or non-functioning facsimile of the opposite sex. From 2019 to 2023, more than 150 sex-change surgeries were performed on minors at Boston Children’s Hospital, 13 at Children’s Hospital Colorado, and 165 at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Cruz exposes China’s plot to undermine U.S. energy: Sen. Ted Cruz has outlined an insidious Chinese plot to destroy U.S. energy. First, the Energy Foundation China, which is itself tied to the Chinese Communist Party, funds American climate advocacy groups, such as the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). Next, the NRDC files as many lawsuits as possible against American energy companies. Then, “impartial” groups like the Climate Judiciary Project train (read: indoctrinate) judges into the climate cult so those judges side against American energy at every turn. Democrats like Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse call Cruz’s claim a conspiracy and instead urge fear over whatever “Big Oil” is up to.
Iran executes three men accused of spying for Israel: Three men accused by Iran’s government of working with Mossad in smuggling in equipment that was “used in an assassination of a public figure” were executed on Wednesday. The men were Kurdish political prisoners and among the more than 700 individuals whom Iranian authorities have arrested in the wake of their 12-day war with Israel. According to Iran’s state-run media Fars News Agency, “Since the beginning of Israel’s attack on Iran, the Zionist regime’s spy network has been highly active in the country; Iranian intelligence and security forces managed to arrest more than 700 of them within 12 days.” It appears that the Iranian government is seeking to quickly establish control and squash any dissent against the weakened regime. Furthermore, the massive government-initiated Internet blackout across Iran continues as the regime attempts to assert control over the official narrative surrounding the war to suppress any potential domestic uprising.
Immigrants drive population growth: According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, immigration is the leading driver of America’s population growth. Furthermore, as the share of the American population aged 65 and older increased by 3.1% from 2023 to 2024, the share of the population under 18 declined slightly by 0.2%. Concerningly, there are more older adults than children in almost half the counties in the country. According to Bill Frey, a demographer from the Brookings Institution, “This past year, the population gain was bigger than it’s ever been before,” and that’s due to immigration, much of it illegal. The root of the problem is that Americans are having fewer babies, but immigration advocates see immigration as a better solution than encouraging Americans to have more children.
Colorado settles with Camp IdRaHaJe: The state of Colorado has agreed to amend its new “transgender” inclusion law, which had mandated that children’s camps must permit gender-confused kids to be recognized and treated based upon their declared “gender identity” and not their biological sex. The Christian camp IdRaHaJe (I’d Rather Have Jesus) objected to the law as an obvious attack against Christian beliefs and sued the state. In settling the suit, Colorado added a clarification to its law, noting that “churches, synagogues, mosques, or any other place that is principally used for religious purposes” are exempt from the requirements. Alliance Defending Freedom Legal Counsel Andrea Dill welcomed the settlement, saying, “Government officials should never put a dangerous ideology ahead of kids. State officials must respect religious ministries and their beliefs about human sexuality; they can’t force a Christian summer camp to violate its convictions.” Colorado likely settled to avoid a loss.
