Democrats are getting dangerously close to putting themselves in the category of enemies of the American people. Their latest stunt comes courtesy of CNN.

In a recent, now-infamous segment, newscasters told viewers about a new app called ICEBlock. This app enables users to track Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in real-time. Users are anonymous, and the app deletes the information every four hours to prevent spamming. If ICE officers are spotted, users can input that information onto the app’s map, which then sends a push notification to users within a five-mile radius.

According to Fox News, “The app’s creator, Joshua Aaron … said he was inspired to create ICEBlock as a way to fight back against deportation efforts which he claimed were reminiscent of Nazi Germany.”

It should go without saying that repatriating illegal aliens is nothing like rounding up Jews for the gas chambers.

There are several things wrong with an app like this. First, regardless of any legal disclaimers, people will use the app to thwart and attack ICE agents on the job. There has already been a massive increase in assaults against ICE agents. Guess what? With advance warning, illegal aliens who are here to cause trouble can plan ambushes and other attacks on ICE agents, who are only trying to do their job and defend the American people. Conversely, this app also allows the bad guys to get away and plot harm for another day.

Second, deporting illegal aliens isn’t the only job that ICE agents perform. These agents bust up drug operations, rescue trafficking victims, and seize illegal weapons. They work with the FBI to root out terrorists in our midst. They are the good guys fighting the good fight. Maniacal leftist protesters have gotten in the way of ICE performing its duties, which is extremely harmful to the public’s welfare.

Third and finally, this app is a direct attack on American citizens and their right to live in peace and safety. Whenever a misguided, virtue-signaling Karen outs an ICE agent, it’s a betrayal of her fellow Americans. Many ICE agents are of Hispanic descent themselves and believe that coming to the United States illegally should be stopped. “Latinos make up about 8 percent of the federal workforce and about 18 percent of the population,” according to KTSM. “However, Latinos make up 30 percent of ICE agents and nearly 50 percent of Border Patrol agents.”

The ICEBlock app is actively harmful, and CNN should be made to apologize and slapped with a lawsuit for “incitement to violence,” particularly if the app it promoted can be linked to any of the recent attacks against ICE agents.

Border Czar Tom Homan called CNN’s actions “disgusting,” adding: “It’s only a matter of time before someone sits in hiding and waits for an ICE agent and tries to take them out. I mean, this is horrendous that a national media outlet will be out there trying to forecast law enforcement operations throughout the country. …DOJ needs to look at this.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told the press pool, “It’s unacceptable that a major network would promote such an app that is encouraging violence against law enforcement officers who are trying to keep our country safe.”

The fact that the Democrat Party has made thwarting ICE a part of its “resistance” should be a wake-up call to anyone else on the fence regarding the anti-American nature of the Left. This is no longer about resistance. It’s about the destruction of a great country. CNN should be ashamed of itself.
