COP30: A Dalliance Masquerading as a Climate Conference

To accommodate the influx of visitors, Brazil is cleaning up its love motels. Unfortunately, licentiousness is par for the course whenever our hypocritical, globalist elite rendezvous.

In the Amazon region of Brazil, venues are getting ready for the world’s elite to congregate. The city of Belém is the closest metropolitan area to COP30, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, which will be held in November.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Brazil had decided to bulldoze acres of the Amazon rainforest in order to create the necessary infrastructure for conference attendees to reach their destination. The irony of a climate conference destroying the rainforest was apparently lost on event planners.

Now, Brazil is making news again with a sultry solution to the shortage of COP30 accommodations. It’s hoping to furnish 50,000 beds, but in order to achieve this goal, the nation is having to get, well, creative. First, to accommodate delegates from poorer countries, the Brazilian government is hiring two cruise ships to house them. Second, and more salaciously, Belém motel owners are converting their infamous love motels into potential rooms for hire.

According to The New York Times, “Belém’s numerous love motels — short-term accommodations that charge by the hour and often lack a reception area or amenities like gyms and pools — are preparing to fill the gap, already tweaking and outfitting many of their 2,500 rooms for visitors attending the climate summit.”

That means the erotic motels are removing some of the X-rated artwork and decor, supplying rectangular beds instead of round ones, and adding a reception area. However, many are leaving the dance poles, maintaining the ability to order sex toys, and keeping the red lights above the doors.

The love motels are also taking advantage of the guests’ arrival by charging outrageous rates. Their typical fare is $150 for the night. For the COP30 guests, though, some motel owners will be charging $300-$650 a night.

One Brazilian property broker, Giselle Robledo, told reporters, “The embassies are really conservative. They don’t want to go to a love motel.” While this is probably true for some, the type of clientele that attends global conferences doesn’t exactly have a saintly reputation. For example, those elites who travel to Davos for the World Economic Forum overtly demand high-priced prostitutes for their entertainment.

Optically, the elite who attend these globalist conferences don’t want the stigma associated with staying at a love motel, even if many of the extracurriculars they engage in while abroad are licentious. This double standard and fake morality are exactly what infuriate the average Joe. It’s why Americans are so stuck on the Epstein files. We all know that once a person reaches a certain level of power and influence, generally speaking, they fall into all kinds of deviance. Then they dare to tell the rest of us how to live our own lives.

It’s breathtaking arrogance.
