The socialists and neo-Marxists who control today’s Democrat Party continue to fall on their swords for all the wrong people. The weekend news talk shows were filled with failed big city mayors blasting President Trump’s desire to get crime under control.
 
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, whose approval rating is 26%, was on MSDNC Sunday. When asked about the possibility of President Trump sending National Guard troops to Chicago to help the city deal with crime, Johnson replied:
 
“We’re going to remain firm. We’ll take legal action. But the people of this city are accustomed to rising up against tyranny. And if that’s necessary, I believe that the people of Chicago will stand firm alongside of me as I work every single day to protect the people of this city.”
 
So, a big city mayor, whose constituents are hiding in their homes because of violent drug gangs and thugs, says he’s confident the people of his city will rise up and fight back against law enforcement help from the federal government.
 
At least four people were murdered and 19 others were wounded in Chicago this weekend. Since Donald Trump deployed National Guard troops to Washington, D.C., more than 1,000 criminals have been arrested, 111 illegal guns have been taken off the streets, and the nation’s capital has gone 12 days straight without a single homicide.
 
Maybe it’s time Chicago’s residents “rise up” against Mayor Johnson’s incompetence.
 
 
 
“Maryland Man” Madness
 
Meanwhile, leftists in Baltimore got out of bed Monday morning eager to volunteer for a community trash cleanup project. No, that’s not what they did. Were they volunteering to help Baltimore police officers by forming neighborhood watch patrols? Nope.
 
They were staging a protest outside of an immigration office where “Maryland Man” Kilmar Abrego Garcia reported to after a federal judge released him. He was taken into custody by immigration police and is being processed for deportation to Uganda.
 
Let’s not forget who he is. He is an accused wife beater. He is a human trafficker who was stopped in Tennessee. He was and probably still is in MS-13. He was ordered to be removed by two immigration judges. And this is who the Left is rallying around.
 
Nothing will rouse these leftists when Americans are murdered by illegal aliens. But they have found their voice now. Abrego Garcia has become the Left’s patron saint of open borders, an iconic figure leftists kneel before.
 
The amount of positive publicity this wife-beating, human trafficking, illegal alien gang member has received is almost incalculable. A significant portion of America’s political and media establishment have rushed to defend him and say good things about him.
 
He has received a longer-lasting moment in the sun than American heroes who gave their lives on the battlefield. The life of Laken Riley did not get the attention Abrego Garcia has received.
 
What would any normal American citizen have to do to get the attention of America’s Left? What great achievement would be necessary to get you the amount of press coverage he has gotten for simply being a criminal that Donald Trump is trying to get out of the country?
 
Compare the fawning treatment of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to how our brave immigration police are treated. For trying to get the invasion that occurred during Biden’s administration under control, they are smeared as “Nazis,” “fascists,” and “members of the KKK.”
 
How long will we have to wait until someone builds a monument to Kilmar Garcia on the National Mall? Maybe he can share a national holiday with George Floyd, whose death set off the nationwide riots during 2020’s “Summer of Love.”
 
The Left takes giants like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and turns them into despicable monsters, while they turn “Maryland Man” Kilmar Abrego Garcia and others like him into heroes.
