Who’d have thought the Democrats would devolve into such a despicable state that electing them is a death sentence for innocents?

Time and time again, George Soros-backed district attorneys have let criminals loose to wreak havoc on the law-abiding people of our cities. This is more than just an observation; there is also bona fide data to back up the fact that voting Republican saves lives.

A study published by Vanderbilt University economist Panka Bencsik and Wellesley College professor Tyler Giles found that prosecutors shape community well-being and protect public health in a very literal sense.

According to the study:

Using data from hundreds of closely contested partisan elections from 2010 to 2019 and a vote share regression discontinuity design, we find that narrow election of a Republican prosecutor reduces all-cause mortality rates among young men ages 20 to 29 by 6.6%.

This decline is driven predominantly by reductions in firearm-related deaths, including a large reduction in firearm homicide among Black men and a smaller reduction in firearm suicides and accidents primarily among White men. Mechanism analyses indicate that increased prison-based incapacitation explains about one third of the effect among Black men and none of the effect among White men.

Instead, the primary channel appears to be substantial increases in criminal conviction rates across racial groups and crime types, which then reduce firearm access through legal restrictions on gun ownership for the convicted.

Men in a particularly vulnerable age range — 20 to 29 — are dying in fewer numbers simply if their county has a Republican DA who enforces the law and throws murderers in jail long term so they can’t kill anyone else. This is particularly pertinent for black men because death in this demographic often happens due to murder by other black individuals. A Democrat DA typically arranges a light sentence for black offenders and sends them back out to kill, steal, and destroy.

The brutal killing of Iryna Zarutska shows that if the law is not enforced, mercy on the wicked morphs into oppression of the innocent.

Other lethal examples of non-enforcement include young black men dying from gang-related violence on the streets of Chicago.

For white men, the story is slightly different. There are plenty of white bad guys who need to be thrown in jail, but their primary killer is suicide, not murder. Having a Republican DA lowers the chance of self-murder in white men because they are facing a prosecutor who doesn’t hate them for no reason. For a leftist DA, white men are the apex oppressor in the hierarchy of victimhood and, therefore, deplorable.

The 6.6% mortality reduction stemming from a Republican DA proves that enforcing the law and putting bad guys in jail is a more effective strategy than letting miscreants walk away with a slap on the wrist. It’s nice to have the research to back up the logical theory that enforcing the law, sending criminals to jail, and preventing offenders from getting access to dangerous weapons make our country safer.

The party of so-called “compassion” has turned once-nice cities like San Francisco into hellholes — where people leave their car windows rolled down so that criminals can steal what they want without destroying victims’ cars.
