‘The View’ Goes After Isabel Brown

Encouraging women to get married and have children is hateful — but only if it comes from a conservative white woman.

“If you’re not encouraging your children to grow up and have the courage to get married and have kids, more kids than they can afford, before they think they are ready, it is high time to start. It is these choices — like deleting our dating apps and quitting birth control pills and saying ‘I do’ at the altar — that ultimately trickle down into the political policies that we will see save our country.”

This 20-second clip from Daily Wire commentator Isabel Brown at last week’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) caught the attention of “The View.” Apparently, Brown’s sentiments were controversial to that show’s co-hosts comprising Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sara Haines, and Alyssa Farah Griffin. Why were they so offended? For several reasons.

First, encouraging women to have babies is racist because Isabel Brown is white. However, Brown didn’t say “white women”; she said “women.” I am pretty sure that includes women of all colors. Also, it is a fact that the abortion industry is the #1 killer of minority babies. Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger’s stated goal was to cleanse America of black babies.

Second, the hosts argued that Brown should not have any say over what other women want to do with their uteruses. At least they now admit that women are those with a uterus.

One host claimed that “you need over $400,000 for childcare.” This is a flat-out lie. The average mom does not shell out $400,000 on childcare. Plus, the perspective that you can only have kids if you are rich is highly elitist. Being poor in the United States isn’t necessarily a black mark against a child’s future success. Just look at Vice President JD Vance, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, and countless others.

The hosts presented other stupid and easily debunked arguments as well, like overpopulation and women having come too far to be sent back into the kitchen. Life’s purpose, according to these pontificators, is to become a successful boss babe and earn big paychecks, because living for yourself is the only way to find ultimate happiness.

Seriously, anyone taking life advice from these women should sue.

Sadly, millions of people do listen to them. Gen Z in particular has been told by almost everyone in their orbit — from celebrities to teachers — that getting married and starting a family is somehow beneath them. When The New York Times calls marriage “less appealing than ever” and New York Magazine’s The Cut publishes a piece in which mothers explain why they regret even having children, it is little wonder that women are falling for it. They have been brought up to believe that living for yourself, your own needs, and your own highest good is the best way to live.

Conversely, all the most important and amazing things in life require self-sacrifice. In marriage, both spouses are expected to be selfless and be dedicated to one another for the other person’s good. In parenthood, mothers and fathers sacrifice their time and energy for the good of those little ones who are depending on them for everything.

Self-sacrifice in the form of marriage and motherhood, however, is looked down upon in our current culture. Feminists in general and leftists in particular have denigrated marriage, motherhood, family, and the beauty, stability, and fulfillment that come with those things so much that any woman who chooses to be a wife and mother is anathema. They believe in choice — unless it is a choice they dislike. So tolerant, so understanding are these hypocrites.

They have to lie about or conflate the issues because the truth refutes leftism at every turn. Married mothers are twice as happy as unmarried/childless women. We are not in a population boom, but rather a population decline.

Perhaps the most ironic part of “The View’s” attack on Isabel Brown is that the very next day, these same women dared to gush over 2028 presidential hopeful Rahm Emanuel’s pro-family message. Emanuel accurately said, “Family is the most important institution we have. We should invest in it, not degrade it.” To which they all clapped and smiled.

So, Isabel Brown cannot encourage people to get married and start a family, but Rahm Emanuel can? Is it because he is a Democrat, or because he is a man? Or perhaps a person they consider an “expert”? At least Emanuel is being consistent on his “moderate” ideas.

Let’s encourage the ladies of “The View” to leave their echo chambers and deign to live among the people who embody a culture in which marriage and family are celebrated — and then tell us if that culture is as bad as they claim it is.

Let’s also demand consistency. Being a mother is either for the rich who can afford to keep working and have children, or it is selfless and worth investing in, full stop. The narrative should not change just because a male Democrat is delivering the message.
