The Delusional World of Gender Ideology Now Includes International Kidnapping
A gender-confused father who thinks he is a woman kidnapped his son to get him bodily mutilation surgery in Cuba.
In late March, a 10-year-old boy left with his dad and his dad’s “partner” (their official relationship status is unclear) for a camping trip to Canada. Little did either the boy or his biological mother suspect that his gender-confused father had concocted a nefarious scheme to kidnap the boy and attempt to “transition” him in Cuba. And yet, that is reportedly exactly what happened.
Eri Ethington, a.k.a Rose Inessa-Ethington, went down the transgenderism rabbit hole shortly after his son was born. He and his first wife eventually divorced, and Ethington began “transitioning” when his son turned five. He wanted the child to identify as transgender as well, and since he had been granted partial custody of the boy, his influence campaign was successful: By the time his son reached 10 years of age, he was identifying as a girl.
During the divorce fight, one of Ethington’s biggest desires was for his ex-wife to allow their son to get bodily mutilation surgery before reaching puberty. That was not going to happen, so Ethington allegedly decided to take matters into his own hands.
The scheme was elaborate. Ethington, along with his current partner, Blue Inessa-Ethington, planned to take his 10-year-old son and Blue’s three-year-old child to Cuba. On March 28, they put their plan into motion.
Ethington told his ex-wife that they were going on a camping trip in Calgary, Alberta — thus tricking her into sending their child with his passport. The four flew to Vancouver, Canada, but then took a flight south to Mexico City, Mexico, then to Mérida, Mexico, and from there to Havana, Cuba.
The child’s biological mother suspected something had gone wrong when she was unable to contact her son. She found out that the group had never checked into the campground. She got the FBI involved shortly thereafter.
According to The New York Times:
Local police in Utah and the F.B.I. began investigating, with Ms. Waterfield, the special agent, detailing what the government said was evidence of a planned operation following a search of their home: $10,000 in withdrawn cash and “to-do” lists detailing plans to empty bank accounts, learn Spanish, obtain tourist visas and put items in storage.
Investigators also said they found notes with instructions from a mental health therapist in Washington, D.C., related to “gender affirming medical care for children” and a request to send the therapist $10,000.
Relatives, including Ethington’s brother, relayed their concerns that Eri had kidnapped the boy to realize his goal of “transitioning” him before puberty hit. Here is a rather important detail, though: In Cuba, bodily mutilation surgeries are not permitted for persons under 18. They were so elaborate in their scheme that one would think Ethington and his partner would have verified that transing the young boy was even possible in Cuba.
On April 13, a Utah state court ordered that the boy be returned to his mother and granted the mother complete custody. On April 16, Cuban authorities located the kidnappers and the children with them. Shortly after, the Justice Department dispatched a Boeing 757 to Havana to rescue the 10-year-old. The details regarding who has custody of Blue’s three-year-old have not been disclosed at this time.
Melissa Holyoak, First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah, told reporters, “We are grateful to law enforcement for working swiftly to return the child to the biological mother.” This kidnapping case is considered part of the Project Safe Childhood initiative. PSC’s goal is to protect children from sexual exploitation, which includes illegal gender transition.
Just when we think we have found the worst examples of where transgender ideology leads, gender-confused individuals keep proving us wrong. This horrible story is nightmare fuel for compos mentis parents, and if Kamala Harris had won the White House in 2024, then this account could have ended very differently for the mom and her son. Perhaps even the birth mother would have been prosecuted for being “bigoted” against transgender-identifying people.
Thankfully, though, this crazy tale ends with a rescue and a child reunited with his mother while his gender-confused father and his partner get charged with international kidnapping.
