During the annual Pride parade in Berlin, Germany, a 21-year-old Islamist terrorist, Abdul Ballout, used a van to mow down parade attendees and a knife to stab a few more as he fled the scene. All told, one person was killed and dozens more injured. Later that evening, Ballout was tracked down and shot dead by German law enforcement.

Ballout was a German citizen of Lebanese descent (his parents immigrated to Germany) who professed his radicalization for years and accumulated a rap sheet a mile long. In 2024, he left Germany to join ISIS forces in Syria. He was then arrested in Lebanon for attempting to team up with terrorists and served some time in a Lebanese prison until he was extradited to Germany, where he was sentenced to one year and 10 months’ imprisonment for posing a serious threat to the state. However, his sentencing was suspended until May 2026 and then ultimately dropped because officials — against the prosecutors’ wishes — determined he would be better served by attending deradicalization counseling. He completed just two of his six mandated counseling sessions before his attack last weekend.

Ballout told German authorities what he was — a radical Islamist intent on jihad — yet they thought that a few therapy sessions would cure him. You can’t cure somebody who doesn’t think they are sick.

What are those at the parade attack memorial and other German residents saying about the jihadi? Nothing much — only that they wish the attacker had been a white Christian male. In the video below, a German rapper and LGBTQ+ activist says just that.

To date, there have been no white Christian men mowing people down with cars in Germany to decry Pride parade attendees’ sinfulness. But since 2020, there have been at least four such attacks committed by Islamists. Moreover, Ballout’s knife attack was just one of dozens perpetrated by Islamists since 2015. Leftists in Germany invariably blame bogeymen (white Christian males), while bona fide terrorists are out murdering and attacking their people largely unchecked.

The imaginary white Christian male antagonist is very telling. Leftists see themselves as having more in common with people from far-flung places, which is why the globalist elite favor facilitating mass migration to the utter destruction of the West. They believe they are fellow travelers — nay, champions — of oppressed Third World peoples, such as radical Islamists from the Middle East. That’s why there are groups like “Gays for Palestine.” The Left has correctly picked out a demographic that would oppose their policies — Christians — but they are deeply deluded about their “allies.”

Islamists will happily attack LGBTQ+ people, whom they see as abominations. In fact, in Islamic countries, the penalty for being gay is jail, torture, or even death. Yet leftists would rather blame Christians. While it’s true that Christians openly oppose the leftist worldview and seek boundaries — like protecting kids and keeping gender-confused men out of women’s sports and spaces — we aren’t out there slaughtering gay people in the streets.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:9–12, the Apostle Paul warns believers that lawlessness is coming into their midst to sow doubt and destruction. God gives those who choose to actively oppose Him a strong delusion — such that they believe wholesale lies and convince themselves of the virtue of those lies — so that they may continue in the ways of darkness.

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

God-willed blindness is the only viable explanation for this unholy matrimony of destructive worldviews. The LGBTQ+ activists would rather blame Christians than accept that yet another Islamist tried to kill them because of their beliefs about sexuality.

The national and international outrage over the ignored warning signs concerning Ballout has prompted German authorities to consider changing the law — i.e., stopping the practice of suspending sentences — to keep dangerous individuals like Ballout in prison.

Honestly, though, it’s too little, too late. People like Abdul Ballout should be denaturalized and deported. Better yet, they should be left to rot in Lebanese prisons. This delusion of treating jihadis like naughty children instead of dangerous, degenerate adults is costly in human lives. The wages of leftist social policy are death, and the killers don’t care if you’re “on their side.”
