The New ‘Climate Change Dashboard’ Says Don’t Panic

A new website tracking climate change and weather event data over the past several decades shows that, despite alarmist rhetoric, nothing much has changed, extreme weather-wise.

We have been told for at least the last couple of decades that climate change/global warming was an existential threat to planet Earth, and the results would be dire if we did not immediately impose onerous anti-fossil fuel regulations designed to end our use of such abundant energy.

Recall the infamous hockey stick graph, popularized in Al Gore’s dubious documentary “An Inconvenient Truth,” which tracked global CO2 levels corresponding with increasing global temperatures. Of the numerous erroneous prognostications Gore made in the film, one that has been repeated seemingly ad nauseam is that as atmospheric CO2 levels increased, extreme weather events would become more frequent and more severe.

Does the data back up Gore’s and the climate alarmists’ claims?

Recently, the American Enterprise Institute’s Roger Pielke introduced the “US Extreme Weather and Climate Change Dashboard,” a website that tracks data on climate change and weather events, using the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) framework for detecting climate change.

Pielke, a climate realist, explained why he created the website:

In December 2025, the EPA removed at least 80 climate-related webpages, including the Climate Change Indicators section that housed data on heat waves, coastal flooding, wildfires, snowfall, and droughts. Whatever you think about the politics, the removal took a widely used, taxpayer-funded reference — built on official data and years of careful analysis — offline.

So I build [sic] a new and much better extreme weather and climate change dashboard, which I am releasing today.

It is indeed unfortunate that the EPA has decided to stop collecting and displaying the climate- and weather-related data to the public. Could the reason behind the decision to stop keeping track of the data be because of what the data was showing, or rather not showing?

The dashboard tracks major climatic weather events such as heat waves, winter storms, tornadoes, flooding, drought, wildfires, and hurricanes over recent decades. It reveals that, other than a slight uptick in heat waves and wildfires (which are often caused by arson or other factors), there has been little to “no detected change.”

The data shows that weather events such as tornadoes and hurricanes have not changed in intensity or frequency. This tracks the data over the last 130 years.

This data effectively exposes what the IPCC expressed earlier this year: The extreme climate models that alarmists have long touted to support their demands for drastic economic policy changes, such as the Democrats’ infamous “Green New Deal,” are not based on realistic circumstances. In other words, these catastrophic climate forecasts are not going to happen, nor are they even near accurate.

It’s much more difficult to make the “scientific” case for climate alarmism when the data does not support the extremist narrative.

The truth of the matter is, first-world countries’ access to abundant, inexpensive energy sources, primarily due to fossil fuels, leaves them environmentally cleaner than the developing world.

So, when it comes to the debate on climate change, just follow the science — the actual scientifically and accurately collected data. Not the alarmist propaganda of a failed presidential candidate.
