Obama vs. the Leftmedia
So much for transparency.
The Committee to Protect Journalists is out with a new report showing that, while Barack Obama “came into office pledging open government, he has fallen short of his promise.” The report notes that six government employees and two contractors have been (or will be) prosecuted under the 1917 Espionage Act – compared with three in all previous administrations. The Obama Justice Department also secretly subpoenaed journalists phone and email records. All in all, says David E. Sanger, veteran chief Washington correspondent of The New York Times, “This is the most closed, control freak administration I’ve ever covered.” So much for transparency.
