WashPo Calls Out Obama
“Obama’s foreign policy based on fantasy.”
You know Barack Obama’s foreign policy is in shambles when you’ve lost The Washington Post. Sunday’s editorial, titled “President Obama’s foreign policy is based on fantasy,” begins with a scathing admission: “For five years, President Obama has led a foreign policy based more on how he thinks the world should operate than on reality.” The piece is in response to Obama’s reluctant stance towards Russia’s crackdown on the uprising in Ukraine. “Military strength, trustworthiness as an ally, staying power in difficult corners of the world such as Afghanistan – these still matter, much as we might wish they did not,” the Post concedes. As House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers put it: “Putin is playing chess and we’re playing marbles.” And lest we forget, the Leftmedia played a huge part in downplaying America’s relationship with Russia. Chris Mathews once joined Obama in slamming Mitt Romney for calling Russia “our number one geopolitical foe.”
