Antarctica Was Really Warm
Science, ladies and gentleman.
Did you know that Antarctica used to be as warm as Florida or California? That’s what a team of Yale scientists says. According to Science Daily, the scientists “focused on Antarctica during the Eocene epoch, 40-50 million years ago, a period with high concentrations of atmospheric CO2 and consequently a greenhouse climate.” They found that the average temperature across parts of the continent was 57 degrees, while a bit further north reached 72 degrees. So there you have it. The science is settled; the debate is over.
