The National Science Foundation has given a $5.7 million grant to Columbia University to do nothing more than produce climate change propaganda. The university turned around and created FutureCoast to paint a picture of what they think climate change will look like. It’s a website encouraging people to leave “voicemails of the future,” pretending to be people living in 2020-2065 dodging tsunamis, searching for glaciers and growing corn in the Arctic Circle. People who view and participate would do well to heed the website’s fine print: “FutureCoast is a work of fiction. Any resemblance between its characters and any person, living, dead or yet unborn, is a coincidence.” The NSF should consider funding actual research and education. More…
