Warren Could Beat Hillary
Sen. Elizabeth Warren could be Dems’ pick.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), chief of the progressives in Congress, could be what Barack Obama was to the presidential race of 2008. Sure, the political scribblers (including us) have noted how Hillary is positioning herself for a White House run. But as National Review’s Jonah Goldberg writes, Warren could upset Clinton easily. “Warren would be able to defuse Clinton’s greatest asset (her gender) and exploit Clinton’s greatest liability (her wealth and how she came by it) while in the process generating huge excitement from the status quo–weary grassroots,” Goldberg writes. Like the progressive she is, Warren plays the class inequality game more than the rank-and-file Democrat does. After all, she claimed she was Native American during her 2012 senate campaign and she wants to rig the system by adding more laws and more government to fix a system she says is unfair. More…
