Illegal Disease Outbreak
Pneumonia and swine flu.
Along with the problem of where to put children flooding across the border, U.S. officials say disease is a major concern. The Washington Free Beacon reports, “Health authorities at a Navy base in Southern California took steps last weekend to curtail an outbreak of pneumonia and swine flu among illegal immigrant children housed at the facility, according to U.S. officials.” That Navy base is currently housing nearly 600 illegal minors. Border Patrol agent Chris Cabrea says, “[W]e’re having a lot of diseases coming in and some we haven’t seen in decades and we are worried they’ll spread throughout the United States especially if they are being released and have the disease.” Obviously, it’s critical to stop these outbreaks before disease spreads to the American population, and it presents just one more problem with Barack Obama’s virtual broadcast of amnesty to any and all comers.
