California Union Fears End to Forced Unionization
At least one union can see the writing on the wall. The Washington Free Beacon reports: “The largest teachers union in California is preparing for life without forced union membership, as a lawsuit challenging coercive dues makes its way through the legal system. The California Teachers Association circulated a presentation titled, ‘Not if, but when: Living in a world without Fair Share,’ to union leaders and members in July. The report … predicts that the end is near for automatic union membership in public schools.” Ten teachers are fighting the 325,000-member strong union to nullify forced unionization. CTA worries the Supreme Court’s recent ruling in Harris v. Quinn gives credence to the lawsuit and may foretell another another big blow to Big Labor. Let’s hope so for the sake of the Constitution and children who may be trapped by under deserving teachers. More…
