Hillary Says Something on Ferguson
After thinking for weeks about what to say about the violence in Ferguson, Missouri, Hillary Clinton talked for five minutes and impressed some liberals. The likes of Al Sharpton criticized the forever politician for staying mum on the issue. After all, he said, every presidential candidate has to answer to him and the issue of race. And Hillary gave her answer. The almost-2016 candidate ad-libbed for a minute – violence bad, nice cops good, yada yada, blah blah. Then Hillary called for empathy: “Imagine what we would feel and what we would do if white drivers were three times as likely to be searched by police during a traffic stop as black drivers instead of the other way around.” We’re sure Hillary loses sleep thinking of this very question, because her Mercedes, Chrysler or whatever else her chauffeur is driving these days won’t be stopped and searched by the police. Then she moves on to quote the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Everybody loves MLK – except James Earl Ray – so heads start nodding and the audience wonders when she’ll finish and what they’ll eat for dinner. Hillary said something.
