‘Scott Walker Abuses Women,’ Says DNC Chief
DNC Chief Debbie Wasserman Schultz took the Democrats’ “war on women” rhetoric to a new low this week, attacking Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker as an abuser of women. “Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand,” she declared. “I know that is stark. I know that is direct. I know that is reality.” On the contrary, reality is something with which Wasserman Schultz seems utterly unfamiliar. She added, “What Republican tea party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back. It is not going to happen on our watch.” She should be ashamed of herself – if that were possible for any Democrat. To liken a governor to a wife beater is inexcusable, and yet, somehow, par for the course.
Update: Wasserman Schultz later said, “I shouldn’t have used the words I used,” but she refused to apologize. “That shouldn’t detract from the broader point that I was making that Scott Walker’s policies have been bad for Wisconsin women.” Double down, Debbie.
