Students Asked to Compare Bush and Hitler
No other president has ruled by fiat more scrupulously than “constitutional law professor” Barack Obama. Regardless of how one feels about the “Bush Wars,” the 43rd president garnered permission from Congress before carrying out his strategic response to 9/11. Contrast this to Obama’s unilaterally launching missile strikes on Libya, as just one example. But one public school in the District of Columbia just demonstrated how far leftists are willing to go to push the anti-Bush narrative – even if it means comparing him to the ruthless Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler. A McKinley Tech Middle School homework sheet recently assigned to sixth graders reads: “Now that we have read about two men of power who abused their power in various ways, we will compare and contrast [George W. Bush and Hitler’s] actions.” The District says the teacher erred by inappropriately combining two unrelated assignments, but you probably won’t be surprised to learn that DC is part of the Common Core initiative.
