Bin Laden Shooter: ‘The Good Outweighs the Bad’
Robert O'Neill told everybody he shot Osama bin Laden because he wanted to give the families of the 9/11 victims closure by telling the story with greater detail of what happened during that night of May 2, 2011. Despite the threat of retaliatory attacks, despite the SEAL code of silence, despite the fact that O'Neill has just increased his demand on the speaking circuit, he says it’s all for the greater good. “The last thing I want to do is endanger anybody.
