A Harvard Business School professor has apologized for his crusade against overpriced Chinese food. At the beginning of the month, elite member of the ivory tower Ben Edelman bought $53.35 worth of Chinese food from Sichuan Garden. But horrors! When he got the bill, the restaurant charged him $4 extra because higher prices were never changed on the website. So Edelman does what any jerk well versed in business law would do: He threatened to sic the law upon the small restaurant. "If you look at my other work," Edelman said, defending his actions, "you'll see I've been pretty diligent in holding large companies accountable for their false statements of price and other attempts to overcharge passengers. Should all small businesses get a free pass? Some people seem to think so, I wonder if that really makes sense." This isn't the first time Edelman has rolled up his Harvard diploma and used it to swat around local restaurants. He did the same thing to a Sushi restaurant in 2010. Because of the outrage of his bullying of the Chinese restaurant, Edelman apologized on his blog, writing, "I was very much out of line."
