MSNBC: Chris Kyle Was a ‘Racist’ on ‘Killing Sprees’
The box office success of “American Sniper” – the story of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle – is driving the Left even more batty than usual. Not that anyone watches MSNBC, but if they did, they would have seen Foreign Affairs Correspondent Ayman Mohyeldin pull the trigger with some hateful smears of Kyle. Any portrayal of Kyle as a hero, Mohyeldin said, was “very far from reality.” This is clear, he explained, “when you juxtapose it with the real Chris Kyle, and the story, and what has emerged about what kind of personality he was in his own words.” He pointed to “a lot of stories about when he was back home in Texas; a lot of his own personal opinions about what he was doing in Iraq; how he viewed Iraqis.” Mohyeldin then fired the kill shot: “Some of what people have described as his racist tendencies toward Iraqis and Muslims as he was going on some of these, um, you know, killing sprees in Iraq on assignment.” For leftists to portray opponents as racist is old hat, but for a foreign correspondent to describe a soldier’s lawful actions in a war is appalling. Kyle was no angel and fabricated some stories. But “killing sprees” denigrates the work and sacrifice of American troops.
