Loretta Lynch Approved by Judiciary Committee
Is there new leadership in Congress? Hello? Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder 2.0, passed through the Senate Judiciary Committee and on to her possible confirmation as next attorney general with the help of three Republican senators – Orrin Hatch, Lindsey Graham and Jeff Flake. Senator David Vitter was one of the legislators to vote against Lynch’s nomination. Vitter said, “Attorneys general do not swear an oath to the president; they swear an oath to uphold the Constitution. Based on her responses regarding President Obama’s executive action, it is clear that Ms. Lynch will not stand up to the lawlessness of President Obama.” And now, it looks like the funds for the Department of Homeland Security will be served with a side of Obama’s executive action still in place.
