DOJ Ignores Violent Pipeline Protests
Ecofascists unite, with “Justice” looking the other way.
Over the last several weeks, two groups have been protesting the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota. Some of the protesters focused on the fact that the pipeline project, which received the okay from the courts, crosses through ancestral Native American lands where there is the possibility of disturbing ancient graves sites. Another group is an outside environmental extremist group protesting anything that could possibly support progress. Some of the protests have resulted in violence and arson. So far 123 protesters have been arrested and of those 106 were protesters from outside the area.
Local law enforcement requested assistance from the Obama Justice Department but so far to no avail. In fact, the only action taken thus far by the DOJ is to tell the “U.S. attorney to stand down on help.” North Dakota’s attorney general likewise has offered no assistance. Once again it appears that political concerns are of a greater concern to Attorney General Loretta Lynch than pursuing justice. After all, Democrats don’t want to upset their core ecofascist support.
