Radical Islamist Attacks Berlin Christmas Market

Are Germany’s refugee policies to blame?

In the aftermath of Monday’s terror attack at a Christmas market in Berlin, which left at least 12 dead and 48 injured, much can be assumed but little is yet certain. What is known is that a Polish citizen was found dead inside the truck, apparently from gunshot wounds. The police arrested but released a Pakistani suspect, and now believe that the terrorist driver is a Tunisian national who’s still at large, and they’re are warning Germans to be vigilant. And not surprisingly, the Islamic State claimed credit for the attack as police have mounted a massive manhunt.

Geert Wilder, a Dutch politician and leader of the anti-Islamic Freedom Party, tweeted a photo-shopped image of German President Angela Merkel with blood on her hands after he had previously tweeted, “cowardly Government leaders.” He then tweeted, “They [Islamic Terrorists] hate and kill us. And nobody protects us. Our leaders betray us. We need a political revolution. And defend our people. #BerlinAttack.” He’s right, and it’s no wonder Europe’s politically correct elite hate him so much.

Merkel responded to news of the attack, saying she was “shocked, shaken and deeply saddened,” adding"that it would be especially hard to bear for us if it was to be confirmed that a person [who] committed this act … was given protection and asylum in Germany.“ Not only would it be hard to bear, it would once again validate the concerns expressed by those who have repeatedly warned European leaders — especially Merkel — that their open-borders polices are importing terrorists. When hundreds of thousands of "refugees” are pouring in from war-torn Islamic nations, little else should be expected.
