Criminalizing the Truth to Protect Cultural Degeneracy

Another Planned Parenthood video, while CA prosecutes the video maker.

“It’s not a matter of how I feel about it coming out intact, but I gotta worry about my staff and people’s feelings about it coming out looking like a baby.”

“There’s a lot of variables going in.”

“Yeah so I don’t — so yeah, that becomes an issue.”

“Yeah that’s interesting that it’s kind of an issue with the staff, to have to kind of protect their comfort level. Do you ever find yourself in a situation where it would be like easier if you know this case kind of wants to come out intact, but your kinda like, have to make sure it doesn’t so the staff doesn’t freak out?”

“Well I mean that’s one, and another issue is, Arizona is so conservative, I just don’t even want to send a full fetus to, for cremation or any other that…

"It’s absolutely asking for trouble…”

“Yeah. We have the people who do our paperwork for the fetal death certificate. They email us calling them babies. ‘Baby this, baby that, baby so-and-so’ and I’m like, ‘that’s creepy!’”

The above is from a videotaped exchange between Dr. DeShawn Taylor, former Medical Director of Planned Parenthood (PP), Arizona and longtime abortion provider at Planned Parenthood, Los Angeles and undercover reporters from the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) posing as buyers of fetal tissue.

In a better world, Taylor and her Planned Parenthood companions would be seen for the monsters they truly are, people so indoctrinated by progressive ideology that evil itself becomes impossible to comprehend.

In this one, these monsters have their equally despicable enablers: California Attorney General Xavier Becerra has filed 15 felony charges against CMP’s David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt for violating California Penal Code Section 632(a). The relevant part of the statute: “Every person who, intentionally and without the consent of all parties to a confidential communication, by means of any electronic amplifying or recording device, eavesdrops upon or records the confidential communication … shall be punished by a fine not exceeding two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500), or imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding one year, or in the state prison, or by both that fine and imprisonment.”

That these conversations were held in restaurants and at conventions is apparently irrelevant.

Or is it? In 2002, the Ninth Circuit ruled that Medical Laboratory Management Consultants founder John Devaraj “could not have reasonably expected privacy” when representatives of ABC News secretly videotaped their exchanges and broadcast them on Primetime Live. The ruling not only covered the laboratory portion of Medical Lab open to the public, but the private administrative offices that were not, because Devaraj invited the journalists in.

While this ruling was about Arizona state law, the judges noted that even under California law the expectation of privacy is only reasonable “to the extent that the communication conveys information private and personal to the declarant.”

Nothing Taylor spoke about could be construed as such. So much so, that even the left-leaning Los Angeles Times states that “Becerra’s attempt to take this to the level of a criminal felony is misplaced here.”

Calculated is more like it. Becerra’s a dedicated progressive who has received $7,600 from Planned Parenthood and NARAL. The latter organization also gave him a 100% rating on pro-abortion positions. Becerra follows in the footsteps of former CA Attorney General and current U.S. Senator Kamala Harris who received $39,885 from pro-abortion groups.

Harris began the CMS investigation last spring when she raided Daleiden’s apartment seizing a laptop and several hard-drives. Last September, emails revealed officials in Harris’ office were collaborating with PP to craft AB 1671 amending California penal code to make the secret recording and disseminating of communications with health care providers a criminal act. Gov. Jerry Brown signed AB 1671 into law.

National Review’s Ian Tuttle eviscerates “California’s transparently partisan abuse of the state’s prosecutorial power,” noting the same state investigated charges of animal cruelty on chicken farms — prompted by undercover videos. He also takes on a calculatingly disinterested media “suddenly silent about this unconcealed assault on reporters’ freedoms, after spending the days since Donald Trump’s election propounding the importance of a vigorous press.”

“…in Arizona if the fetus is, comes out with any signs of life we’re supposed to transport it … to the hospital.”

“At any gestational age?”

“Any gestational age, yeah, yeah.

"Is there any standard procedure for verifying signs of life?”

“Well, the thing is…”

“That doesn’t go on a [medical] chart…”

“I mean the key is, you need to pay attention to who’s in the room, right? And like the thing is that law states that you’re not supposed to do any maneuvers after that fact that tries to cause demise. So it’s really tricky.”

In other words, if the “right” people are in the room, a live baby can “become” a dead fetus.

When asked about the use of the feticidal chemical digoxin, Taylor acknowledges it can’t be used if fetal body parts will be harvested for sale, but her “biceps appreciate it when the chemical works,” during the standard abortion procedure — part of which consists of dismembering a fetus with forceps.

Despite facing criminal charges, Daleiden remains unrepentant. “The bogus charges from Planned Parenthood’s political cronies are fake news. They tried the same collusion with corrupt officials in Houston, TX and failed: both the charges and the DA were thrown out,” he said in a statement. “The public knows the real criminals are Planned Parenthood and their business partners like StemExpress and DV Biologics — currently being prosecuted in California — who have harvested and sold aborted baby body parts for profit for years in direct violation of state and federal law.”

Half the public. For the other half, abortion on demand is the cornerstone of progressive ideology. That’s why it took a vote by Vice President Mike Pence to break a 50-50 Senate tie and overturn an Obama administration rule banning states from denying funds to Planned Parenthood. Unsurprisingly, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called it “another example of the Republican war on women.”

More like a war on taxpayer-funded, de facto genocide engendering nearly 60 million abortions since the U.S. Supreme Court legalized it in 1973.

Equally unsurprising, pro-abortionists have also pursued the fight against states requiring women to undergo an ultrasound prior to having an abortion. UC, Irvine law professor Michele Goodwin likens such requirements to “state-sanctioned rape.” Better to de-humanize a human fetus, lest women get a fuller appreciation of what an abortion actually is.

Thus, a “woman’s right to choose” must not include an informed choice.

“The trouble with [Nazi murderer Adolf] Eichmann was precisely that so many were like him, and that the many were neither perverted nor sadistic, that they were, and still are, terribly and terrifyingly normal. From the viewpoint of our legal institutions and of our moral standards of judgment, this normality was much more terrifying than all the atrocities put together.” —Hannah Arendt

Perhaps no other organization has normalized atrocity with more conviction and self-righteousness than Planned Parenthood and its cadre of supporters. Hack political supporters are more interested in prosecuting truth-tellers than the perpetrators of cultural degradation, and hack media supporters’ collaborative silence speaks volumes.

“From fanaticism to barbarism is only one step.” —French philosopher Denis Diderot

Make that a baby step.
