Dems Claim Election Fears While Undermining Elections
They’re warning Trump won’t accept defeat after the last two years of their own denial.
The utter hypocrisy of the Democrat Party is so brazen that one wonders whether they are so addled with Trump Derangement Syndrome that they actually believe their own idiocy, or if they truly think voters are stupid enough to believe them. Possibly realizing they’ve been hurt with the electorate by their championing of infanticide and their relentless efforts to block President Donald Trump from dealing with the border crisis, Democrats have now amped up their claims of stolen elections.
The most obvious example, of course, is Hillary Clinton’s refusal, two years later, to accept her shocking loss to political neophyte Donald Trump. In a recent interview she exclaimed, “You can run the best campaign, you can even become the nominee, and you can have the election stolen from you.”
This is the same woman who mocked and attacked Trump for his refusal to say, during a debate three weeks before the 2016 election, that he would not automatically accept election results. When he said, “I will look at it at the time,” she found it “horrifying.” Feigning shock and outrage, Clinton declared, “Donald Trump refused to say that he’d respect the results of this election. By doing that, he’s threatening our democracy.”
So which constitutes a greater threat to “our democracy”? The man who says he wants to see the results before conceding, or the powerful woman who, with her party’s top leaders, conspired with senior federal law enforcement and intelligence officials to first prevent a Trump victory, and then spent two years promoting an outrageous conspiracy theory that the duly elected president is a pawn of America’s largest geopolitical foe?
The 100% fabricated Steele dossier that became the basis of a special counsel investigation by a team of lawyers who were also Democrat Party donors and Hillary allies. The illegal spying on not just an American citizen but the opposition party presidential nominee. The endless lies and misinformation pouring out of that investigation, like effluent from a busted sewer pipe.
It is the Democrats, not the Republicans, who have damaged faith in our electoral process, and it is continuing daily.
This week House Speaker Nancy Pelosi expressed fear that President Donald Trump would not respect the outcome of a close election in 2020, saying Democrats “have to inoculate against that; we have to be prepared for that.” She recounted fears before the 2018 elections that unless Democrats achieved overwhelming victory, “[Trump] would poison the public mind. He would challenge each of the races; he would say you can’t seat these people. We had to win. Imagine if we hadn’t won — oh, don’t even imagine. So, as we go forward, we have to have the same approach.”
She doesn’t seem to appreciate the dark irony in her fears, considering that Trump won an overwhelming Electoral College victory and Democrats have spent every moment since then lying and challenging the legitimacy of the election.
The reality is that the election was “stolen” by Hillary’s own arrogance. Trump won by about 10,000 votes in Michigan, 22,000 votes in Wisconsin, and 45,000 votes in Pennsylvania — states that had not gone Republican since Ronald Reagan won them. Trump campaigned in these states repeatedly in the final months, and Hillary was a no show, expecting to win with no effort.
Likewise, Democrat 2020 nominee Sen. Amy Klobuchar this week, in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, claimed Trump wants the Russians to interfere in the 2020 elections.
Then you have Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams, who lost the governor’s race to Republican Brian Kemp by 55,000 votes, yet is still claiming she won. She recently declared, “I’m here to tell you a secret that makes Breitbart and Tucker Carlson go crazy: We won. I am not delusional.”
Delusional? No. But a liar and a political charlatan. It was Abrams’ nonprofit, the New Georgia Project, that flooded then-Secretary of State Kemp’s office with tens of thousands of incomplete, inaccurate, or outright fraudulent voter applications, and then claimed voter suppression and racism when Kemp’s office didn’t immediately approve the applications.
Here is the question for Democrats though: Why is it only voter fraud and voter suppression when you lose? Democrat Abrams lost her race for governor with more votes (1.9 million) than outgoing Republican Governor Nathan Deal won reelection with in 2014 (1.3 million). How do you get nearly 50% more votes than the previous victor and claim voter suppression?
Democrats claim Abrams was denied victory due to voter suppression by Republicans in Georgia. Yet Democrats picked up 11 state House and two state Senate seats in that election, almost all in the Republican-heavy North Atlanta suburbs.
The mindset seems to be that if Democrats won, they won fair and square. If they lose, it must be because Republicans cheated.
The sad fact is that only one party has a long and inglorious history of cheating and rigging elections — the Democrat Party. Democrats tried to steal the 2000 election from George W. Bush by pushing for recounts in only Democrat-dominated counties. Comedian Al Franken stole a Senate election from Republican Norm Coleman in 2008. The morning after the election, Coleman led by 725 votes. Democrats dispatched an army of lawyers, and eight months and several recounts later, Franken was declared the victor by the Democrat secretary of state. Audits would later show 1,099 felons illegally cast ballots in that race. Franken’s stolen election gave Democrats the 60th vote needed to pass ObamaCare.
When it comes to stolen elections, Democrats doth protest too much.
