Meanwhile, The Independent says that “France will introduce an ‘eco-tax’ … on tickets for all flights leaving the country,” which “comes amid an escalating planetary climate emergency which is disproportionally being caused by the tiny percentage of people who use planes for transport.” Will Bernie et al. do their part to ameliorate this “climate emergency” by refusing to fly airplanes? Don’t bet on it. But take solace by reading Trump’s remarks on America’s environmental leadership.
