Why Do Democrats Hate Christmas?

There’s a big Christmas controversy brewing in Wisconsin thanks to Democrat Gov. Tony Evers.

There’s a big Christmas controversy brewing in the state of Wisconsin. Gov. Tony Evers, a first-year Democrat, has decided to rename the Capitol Christmas Tree. This year, the giant evergreen will be known as a holiday tree. And instead of religious ornaments, the Democrat wants to decorate the tree with science-themed ornaments.

“From computer science to dairy science, to clean water and natural resources, to sustainability and renewable energies, this year we want kids to make holiday ornaments that celebrate science, symbolize what science means to students, their families, and their communities, and acknowledge how important science is to the future of our state,” the governor wrote in a statement.

Nothing says “The Reason for the Season” like a lab jacket and test tubes.

“This is ‘PC’ garbage. It’s a Christmas tree,” State Sen. Scott Fitzgerald, a Republican, wrote on Twitter. Wisconsin lawmakers passed a resolution to reinstate the Christmas tree, but it’s not clear if that will sway Gov. Evers.

“No disrespect to people who practice other faiths, but Christ is right in the name of Christmas. That’s what this is all about — the same way that we honor those who are of different faiths,” former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker told “Fox & Friends.”

It’s no surprise that Democrats are determined to redefine the meaning of Christmas. I’m not sure what the Left hates more — the season or the reason for the season. It’s really unfortunate because the holiday is called Christmas. We celebrate the birth of Christ. That’s what Christmas is all about.

Beside, there’s already a holiday to celebrate trees. It’s called Arbor Day.
