Socialist Tyrant Confiscates 'Decadent Bourgeois' Dogs
Another window into the "utopia" of socialism and its pet peeves.
Among last night’s socialist Demo convention lineup was perennial leftist favorite Bernie Sanders. Oddly, Sanders did not mention a word about the fate of Man’s Best Friend in the socialist utopia of Venezuela. No, I am not referring to his friend, socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro, and his tyrannical regime, but the actual dogs of Venezuela.
Recall how Bernie Sanders promoted the lie that “the American dream is more apt to be realized in … Venezuela,” and for sure Sanders’s nightmare vision for America has been realized in Venezuela, and it hasn’t worked out so well for dogs either, which have been rounded up and roasted when rats weren’t available.
Now we get word that in another socialist utopia, North Korea, dictator Kim Jong-un has ordered police to confiscate all pet dogs. Kim is collecting dogs because his impoverished, enslaved socialist masses are resentful that some people can afford to feed pets when thousands are dying of starvation. Apparently, according to one source, “Ordinary people raise pigs and livestock on their porches, but high-ranking officials and the wealthy own pet dogs, which stoked some resentment.”
Kim insists that owning pet dogs represents Western “decadence” and a “tainted trend of bourgeois ideology.” Consequently, according to NoKo sources, “Authorities have identified households with pet dogs and are forcing them to give them up or forcefully confiscating them” — most, no doubt, for Kim’s finer eating establishments featuring dogs on the menu. While the people trying to survive under socialist regimes are living “a dog’s life,” as the old adage goes, apparently dogs are not.
