Joe Biden Is How Old?

He’s 78 today — born during World War II, and first sent to Washington 48 years ago.

Joe Biden turns 78 years old today. If he becomes president in January, he’ll set a new mark for the oldest man to hold the office. Ronald Reagan left the White House three weeks before his 78th birthday. We’d like to say Biden’s age doesn’t matter, but plenty of folks in their 80s are in better shape than the Democrat septuagenarian. The trouble is that Biden is demonstrably unfit for the presidency.

Take a look at photos of Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama at the beginning of their presidencies. Then compare that to photos at the end. The office takes its toll.

Biden has always been a gaffe machine. Nearly a half-century in the swamp would do that to anyone. But comparing 2020 Biden to 2012 Biden or even 2016 Biden reveals that he’s lost a lot more than a step.

His three-page doctor’s note from December 2019 lists a few fairly routine health issues that would sound familiar to most Americans. It concludes with Dr. Kevin O'Connor declaring, “Vice President Biden is a healthy, vigorous, 77-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency.”

Former White House Dr. Ronny Jackson begs to differ. And that doctor’s note was written well before Biden spent most of 2020 tucked away in his own basement to hide from coronavirus — and the rigors of an actual campaign, much less the duties of the presidency.

Moreover, it does nothing to convince us that we’re not witnessing significant cognitive decline that will both hinder his ability to do the job and bring Kamala Harris, the Senate’s most radical-left member, all that much closer to the presidency herself.
