Hillary Clinton never really believed she lost the 2016 election. In fact, she’s spent the last five years blaming misogyny, sexism, voter ID laws, Bernie Sanders, James Comey, and the Russians for her shocking loss. Now she wants you to know just what they took from her by publicly reading the victory speech she fully so expected to deliver.

Who does this? Who goes out, five years after the fact, and reads a victory speech for a lost election? Hillary Clinton, that’s who. There are no bounds to her narcissism and entitlement.

Assuming she’s even telling the truth that she wrote this speech five years ago, the irony of her words is evident immediately. After beginning with brief pablum about values and democracy, she read: “We will not be defined only by our differences. We will not be an ‘us versus them’ country.” The inconvenient truth is that the Democrats’ entire platform consists of dividing Americans by race, sex, and income level. Everything they do is based upon pitting a select “oppressed” group against another select group of “oppressors.” The only sense in which they don’t want it to be “us versus them” is that they don’t want their opponents to speak at all. If Democrats can help it, there won’t even be a “them.”

A woman who viewed the presidency as her birthright tried to make herself emblematic of every girl or woman who’s ever wanted anything. “I’ve met women who were born before women had the right to vote,” she said. “They’ve been waiting a hundred years for tonight.” Thanks to Hillary’s should-have-been victory, “Every boy and every girl can grow up to be whatever they dream — even president of the United States.”

What kind of example is she to young women? “She is the most bitter, divisive, and toxic human in the history of American politics,” writes political analyst Stephen Kruiser. “When her husband was caught defiling the Oval Office carpet her response was to slut shame Monica Lewinsky and blame a ‘vast right-wing conspiracy’ for the fact that Bill couldn’t keep it in his pants. For that, Democrats turned her into a feminist icon and gave her a couple of jobs that she didn’t earn.”

But hey, any girl can dream.

Notwithstanding her soap opera display in this speech, Clinton is so robotic, phony, and shrill that we can’t believe she’s actually capable of real human emotion. Oh she tried, alright. She pretended to choke up, reading through much of the speech trying desperately and unsuccessfully to get those unused tear glands to succumb to her will and generate some moisture, but we’re surely not the only ones who found her acting to be about as convincing as a Star Wars prequel.

She also talked about everything Democrats oppose and destroy all while claiming to value it — “unity, decency, and what President Lincoln called ‘the better angels of our nature.’”

Well, let’s do talk about those “better angels.” It was Clinton who, while serving as secretary of state, broke federal law by maintaining a private email server intended to hide her pay-to-play Clinton Foundation schemes. For that and mishandling classified information, she was under FBI investigation. It was Clinton who, in a bid to distract the media from her own scandal, paid for the phony Steele dossier to put Donald Trump under not just a cloud of suspicion but an FBI investigation to match her own. That cloud followed Trump for his entire presidency — all the way to the first impeachment — undermining him and our nation for four years. It was Hillary Clinton who leveraged her own position in power to profit personally and destroy her political enemies.

Has there ever been a more corrupt individual to come so near the most powerful position in the world? Has there ever been a person less deserving of the office George Washington once honorably established? The nation will be better off when Hillary Clinton finally retires to private life.
