Biden’s DHS Feigns Concern Over Pro-Life Violence
A leaked memo suggests that the most likely source for violence following SCOTUS’s Dobbs decision will come from the Right.
The Biden administration is concerned about violence after the U.S. Supreme Court issues its ruling that could overturn Roe v. Wade. Indeed, the unprecedented leak of the Court’s likely decision unleashed a wave of pro-abortion activists illegally targeting the homes of six Republican-appointed justices for protesting and harassment. Joe Biden’s Justice Department did nothing about it. There was vandalism against churches and pro-life centers, too, with a collective shrug. Not to worry, though: Team Biden is on the trail of violence … from right-wingers.
According to a leaked memo, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security is preparing for potential violence coming from the Right — those pro-life extremists.
According to Axios, the draft memo states in part, “Some racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists’ embrace of pro-life narratives may be linked to the perception of wanting to ‘save white children’ and ‘fight white genocide.’” It’s those rotten white supremacists again. (Never mind the fact that abortion takes a far higher percentage of black lives.)
The atrocity last weekend in Buffalo, New York, was committed by a crazed young leftist. He seemingly expressed white supremacist views but was clearly not an individual motivated by right-wing political beliefs. Is he one of the “white supremacists” the DHS is so concerned about?
That seems to be the play. So, is the Biden administration now finally admitting that the whole “white supremacist” perspective actually flows from an extreme leftist authoritarian faction of the political spectrum rather than coming from the Right?
This memo would only make sense if that were its consideration based on the leak. Logically, such a decision would not anger pro-life activists; just the opposite would be the case. It’s preposterous to insinuate that the most likely source of violence will come from pro-life activists.
Meanwhile, the memo attempts to shrug off the repeated threatening comments made by those on the Left, as it states, “The mere advocacy of political or social positions, political activism, use of strong rhetoric, or generalized philosophic embrace of violent tactics does not constitute domestic violent extremism or illegal activity and is constitutionally protected.” In other words, when those on the Left are protesting and raising threatening comments against the Court, it’s just a matter of free speech. What happened to the Left’s “speech is violence” sloganeering?
Hopefully, when SCOTUS does hand down its ruling, likely overturning Roe, cooler heads will prevail and there will be no violence. But this memo by DHS is an attempt to poison the well by suggesting ahead of time that if there is any violence that arises following the decision, it will be the fault of pro-lifers on the Right. Thanks, President Unity.
