When you advocate a worldview that says society is the problem, individuals are not to blame for criminal behavior. This is the premise through which men like billionaire socialist George Soros and others of his ilk operate. They have reached such a level of wealth and “otherness” from the everyday man that they believe it is their right — nay, duty — to impose their view of how the world should be on the rest of society. They also don’t have to bare any of the consequences of their pretending to be God. The ever-worsening violence and quality of life for people living with the consequences of Marxism is evident.

Take, for example, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gasćon. He is a Soros-backed DA whose soft-on-crime negligence has hit the news constantly. A few months ago, Gasćon allowed the release of a sexual predator. The perp, Hannah Tubbs, is a man who identifies as a woman. He raped a 10-year-old girl and was given a sentence that amounted to a slap on the wrist. This same criminal was arrested for murder a few weeks later.

The latest, most horrific sentence that Gasćon has given was to a teenage hooligan who, while driving drunk in a stolen car, purposefully ran over a mother walking with her infant in a stroller. The teen then attempted to flee the crime but was stopped by a good Samaritan who used his truck to forcefully stop the criminal. Both mother and infant escaped with minimal injuries. This monstrous teen was given only five months in a juvenile detention “summer camp,” which the DA’s office justified as a place where “this teen will be held accountable for his actions and receive the needed services to foster positive development to keep him from committing future offenses.” At the time of the hit and run, this teen was on felony probation for spiking a girl’s drink. The DA’s mercy was not going to rehabilitate this individual.

The poor mother had this to say about the verdict: “I have never been more surprised or disappointed, and in fact I have never felt so victimized as I have by the system and current policies of LA’s DA, George Gasćon. My heart breaks when I think about all of the other victims out there, less fortunate than me, whose murderers are getting lenient sentences and being released from prison before their sentences are complete.” Gasćon is currently facing a recall by the infuriated residents of LA for his refusal to carry out justice for the victims.

Speaking of recalls, San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin was overwhelmingly recalled just yesterday. Another Soros-backed DA, Boudin is the son of two domestic terrorists/activists who were incarcerated for their part in a deadly armed robbery in the ‘80s. He was prestigiously educated with the foundational belief that incarceration — not the crimes that put people in prison — destroys lives. It is this sentiment that has informed his verdicts and sunk San Francisco even further into the hellhole it has become. Even that city’s “tolerant” voters couldn’t take it anymore.

The problem is far bigger than two big California cities. According to Tim Pearce: “Cities with Soros-backed district attorneys are responsible for 40% of criminal activity in the U.S, according to the LELDF. Soros-backed candidates are known for their support of 'social justice’ and lax criminal justice reform proposals.”

Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF) President Jason Johnson said this about Soros: “Over the past decade, George Soros has spent $40 million to elect 75 of his chosen prosecutors. In campaigns from Houston and Los Angeles to Philadelphia and Orlando, Soros was the campaign’s biggest spender by far — as much as 90% of the dollars spent in some races. Soros isn’t done yet — he’s already spent another million so far this year on his hand-picked district attorneys.”

Soros’s vision of American society as racist and imperialist is a view shared by many on the far Left. It’s leftists who are the aggressors in political violence that ranges from “mostly peaceful” BLM riots to vandalization of crisis pregnancy centers. One Spectator writer points out the silliness of vandalizing pregnancy centers that “provide vital supplies and information for those who will be raising a child (which is a bit different than aborting it). Such disruptive acts only justify the need for such a place, rather than serving as a deterrent.”

No matter how silly or ineffective these strategies seem, the chaos they inflict is the point. The senselessness and injustice is the point. The goal is to upend society in order to rebuild it in their own image — which is ironic because all they seem to know how to do is destroy things and avoid the consequences for their actions.
