DEMOCRATS ARE WILLING TO DESTROY OUR INSTITUTIONS

  • Democrats are using the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision to justify their flagrant power grab, demanding that the Court "adhere to political demands or face institutional disaster" and a "revolution."
    <ul>
    <li>This means abolishing the filibuster, packing the Supreme Court, and impeaching the justices.</li>
    </ul>
    </li>
    <li>Despite claiming that the "<a href="https://twitter.com/JoeBiden/status/1316899408315772928">the words of a president matter</a>," Biden and Democrats have been <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1546513043181420544">silent</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1546173493859024897">even</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1541138312626421760">condoned</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1540372597615083521">pro-abortion</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1540167521613004801">radicals</a> who <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1545462967688482819">have</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1546137072569880577">harassed</a>, threatened, and attempted violence against Supreme Court justices.
    <ul>
    <li>Over <a href="https://catholicvote.org/pregnancy-center-attack-tracker/">40 pro-life centers</a> have been attacked, firebombed, or vandalized since the draft opinion leak of <em>Dobbs</em>.</li>
    <li>In Maryland, a pro-abortion assassin was arrested after he <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-kavanaugh-assassination-attempt-arrest">attempted to kill Justice Brett Kavanaugh</a>, an act that Biden has still not personally condemned.</li>
    </ul>
    </li>
    <li>Chief Justice Roberts has denounced Democrats' threats against the Court as a "<a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/john-roberts-chuck-schumer-threatening-comments-neil-gorsuch-brett-kavanaugh-supreme-court/">dangerous</a>" attempt to exercise "<a href="https://jonathanturley.org/2022/01/01/inappropriate-political-influence-chief-justice-john-roberts-responds-to-threats-against-the-court/">inappropriate political influence</a>."</li>

DEMOCRATS CONDONE PRO-ABORTION VIOLENCE

  • Pro-abortion radicals have targeted and attacked pregnancy and pro-life centers across the country as Democrats refuse to denounce the violence.
    <ul>
    <li><a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1534588292456497155">Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY)</a> answered "yes" when asked if he was "comfortable with protests…outside the homes of Supreme Court justices."</li>

    <li>Democrats have <a href="https://www.politico.com/minutes/congress/05-10-2022/protesting-tactics/">refused to condemn the violence and harassing protests</a> that they have encouraged.

    <li>Biden never personally <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1546513043181420544">condemned the assassination attempt</a> of Justice Brett Kavanaugh even though he has found time to encourage pro-abortion activists to "<a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1546682069518098432">keep protesting</a>."</li>

DEMOCRATS WANT TO ABOLISH THE FILIBUSTER AND PACK THE COURT

DEMOCRATS WANT TO DESTROY THE JUDICIAL BRANCH

DEMOCRATS ARE LYING TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE

  • In their desperate attempt to scare the American people, Democrats are falsely claiming overturning Roe will lead to the Supreme Court reversing prior decisions on same sex marriage, contraception, and interracial marriage.
  • The Court and legal experts have rejected Democrats' baseless claims.
    • In the Dobbs opinion, the Supreme Court strictly outlines that "abortion is fundamentally different" than issues like "sexual relations, contraception and marriage."
    • George Washington University Law School professor Jonathan Turley called out Nancy Pelosi for repeating "the false claim that this decision [will] now undo cases on contraception and other areas."
    • Turley said this argument "has always been absurd but has become a talking point on the left," calling it "utter nonsense."
    • Ed Whelan, a Senior Fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, said that the Supreme Court decision distinguishes abortion as "fundamentally different" from past decisions such as "sexual relations, contraception, and marriage."
    • American Enterprise Institute Senior Fellow Adam J. White – who was a member of Biden's Supreme Court commission – has said that the idea that overturning Roe would threaten previous Supreme Court rulings on interracial marriage was "baseless."
  • Despite slamming the Court for overturning precedent, Democrats have long advocated for overruling past Court decisions such as Citizens United and Heller.

THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME

  • The Dobbs ruling is just the latest excuse Democrats are using to attack American institutions to ram through their pro-abortion agenda.
    <ul>
    <li>In January, Senate Democrats attempted to <a href="https://gop.com/research/democrats-filibuster-hypocrisy-rsr/">gut the filibuster</a> after spending decades saying that such a move was "dangerous" and a "doomsday for democracy."</li>
    <li>In April 2021, House Judiciary Committee Chair Jerry Nadler (D-NY) Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA), and others <a href="https://jonathanturley.org/2021/04/17/how-much-does-the-current-structure-benefit-us-aoc-questions-role-of-supreme-court-in-defending-court-packing/">released a court packing bill</a> to add four liberal justices to the Court.</li>
    <li>As <a href="https://www.politico.com/story/2018/08/29/barbara-litalien-clarence-thomas-impeachment-801680">early as 2018</a>, Democrats were calling for Justice Clarence Thomas to resign or be <a href="https://www.axios.com/2022/03/29/democrats-clarence-thomas-conflict">impeached from the Court</a>.</li>
