Country Music Wrestles With Rainbow Mafia
A lighthearted Instagram post from country superstar Jason Aldean’s wife brought out the ugliness of the “transgender” thought police.
“I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life.”
So said vile, hate-filled, transphobic monstress Brittany Aldean, wife of country superstar Jason Aldean, in a brief Instagram video she posted during a break from clubbing baby harp seals and pulling the wings off of butterflies. At least that’s what we think she was doing. How else to explain the over-the-top reaction of certain mirthless and thin-skinned country music singers such as Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris to Aldean’s makeup “reveal” video?
Pope and Morris were just a few of those who felt the need to virtue-signal and hit back at Aldean for her lighthearted remark. And in fairness to Pope, she was at least civil in her response: “You’d think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging,” Pope wrote. “But instead here we are, hearing someone compare their ‘tomboy phase’ to someone wanting to transition. Real nice.”
Morris, though, was unreservedly unhinged. Jumping on Pope’s initial tweet, she wrote, “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”
To which Aldean replied, “Karen Morris, thanks for calling me Barbie.”
Morris’s attack also got the attention of conservative commentator Candace Owens, who happens to be a friend of Aldean’s. “It’s easier to not castrate your children,” she tweeted matter-of-factly. “But I guess whatever helps sell bad records.”
Aldean and her husband have become increasingly outspoken as conservatives, and until this dustup they’d done so without a lot of pushback from more centrist or left-leaning country stars. This back-and-forth might seem rather humorous, but the issue behind it — the social contagion of transgenderism — is deadly serious. As our Emmy Griffin wrote recently:
The Rainbow Mafia has been very successful at branding “transgenderism” — or really identifying as any gender — as trendy. Teens, especially teen girls, are particularly susceptible to this sort of social manipulation. All teens going through puberty struggle with the development of their bodies. In young girls, this has manifested in some extremes over the centuries such as hysteria, eating disorders, and self-harm. Today’s version of this phenomenon is manifested in girls identifying as boys because the Internet or their leftist friend or society told them that being a girl was a bad thing.
The results have been catastrophic. As Griffin continues, many of those who’ve undergone “transition” are experiencing major regrets with their choices — and they’re being silenced.
All of this is apparently lost on the likes of Morris, who kept up her attack on Aldean: “You know, I’m glad she didn’t become a boy either because we really don’t need another a**hole dude in the world. Sucks when Karens try to hide their homophobia/transphobia behind their ‘protectiveness of the children.’ Weren’t they putting their kids in ‘Biden-is-a-pedo’ shirts on social media? Sounds like a real safe way to protect them from millions of eyes! "F*** all the way off to Insurrection Barbie and the fellow IB’s trolling this comment section with their hypocritical, hateful a**es.”
Class act, that Maren Morris. Fits right in with the Rainbow Mafia.
Update 9/2: Jason Aldean was dropped by his PR firm over the flap. And as cultural commentator Holly Ash put it, “If your PR firm dumps you because your wife spoke out against surgically mutilating and sexually handicapping young children, you absolutely do not want them repping you. Good riddance.”
