The country has seen a political shift within the Hispanic and Latino community. The base that was once reliably Democrat is no longer reliable. With inflation hurting our pockets and a Mexican border that is out of control, Hispanics and Latinos are seeking immediate change.

Many Hispanic and Latino influencers have taken to social media to speak out about the issues affecting their communities. Organizations such as LEXIT, founded to educate and empower Hispanics and Latinos to vote their conservative values, have risen as key speakers within the Hispanic and Latino conservative political movement. LEXIT has empowered Hispanic and Latino conservatives from all walks of life to also speak out about the issues affecting our communities. The more Hispanic and Latinos speak out, the more pushback we get.

Newly elected Congresswoman Ana Paulina Luna is the first Mexican American to be elected to the United States Congress from Florida. Recently, MSNBC portrayed Luna as a white supremacist. Fox News writes, “[MSNBC opinion columnist Julio Ricardo] Varela also argued that ‘MAGA Latinos’ were not the ‘dominant view’ of the Latino community.”

Hispanics and Latinos are naturally conservative. Our values are rooted in God, family, and country. In the United States, 55% of Hispanics and Latinos identify as Catholic while 22% identify as Protestant. Our culture praises God and our values reflect that. Hispanics and Latinos practice traditional family values. Marriage is between man and woman, husbands are the providers of the home, mothers care for the home and family, and we do not believe in the practice of abortion. We also share a deep sense of patriotism. We have respect for our country and will defend it at all costs.

The notion that the United States is a racist country is foreign to us. We also frown upon anyone who disrespects our flag by burning it or taking a knee when the national anthem plays. The deep respect we have for our country can be seen during soccer games. Look at the Mexican players — they stand proud before their flag and sing with respect when their national anthem is played.

Liberals only know the Hispanic and Latino culture on a surface level. Liberals will only include us and respect us because they like our food and holidays. They gravitate towards us only for political gain. When Hispanics and Latinos are vocal about our values, we get exiled by the inclusive liberal establishment. We are depicted as race traitors, white Hispanic nationalists, homophobes, and bigots. We are told that we participate in our own oppression.

Democrats are losing their grip on the Hispanic and Latino community, and we are no longer afraid to speak out. We cannot afford to be afraid to not vote our values when our children are being trafficked along the Mexican border and our babies are being targeted in the womb.

We cannot let the American Dream get lost. Many of us have worked too hard to achieve it.
