Re: Janet Yellen Fails to Instill Confidence

Secretary Yellen’s denial under questioning that federal deficit spending contributes significantly to inflation does nothing to inspire confidence in her willingness to support the hard choices necessary to bring order to the government’s finances. Deficit spending, especially when it is chronic, is the primary cause of inflation in any fiat monetary system. This is particularly the case when the issuer of currency (the Federal Reserve Bank) is passing out the money needed to cover government spending. As a former chair of the Federal Reserve Bank, Yellen surely ought to know that, so she’s either losing her marbles or she was being disingenuous. —Minnesota

Yellen has accomplished a most difficult performance. In her positions at Treasury and the Fed, she has demonstrated incompetence in both fiscal and monetary policy. In any other country she would have been shown the door long ago, but since no one in the administration could do better, she stays because she speaks the language, however irrelevant. —Kentucky

Wait until the infrastructure bill funding starts going out into the economy — the fraud will be epic. Startup green tech companies will get the money, borrow from banks based on their projected operations, then abscond with the money while building nothing. Remember Solyndra? Multiply that by 100 and you get the idea. —California

Re: House Dems Skip On-Site Border Meeting

First, look up the word “operational” in the dictionary. Second, be sure you know what the operation is. In this case, the operation is exactly what the current administration wants, which is open borders. It looks at it as future voters for the leftist side of the aisle. That is why no Democrats attended the meeting held at the border. They already know what the operation is, so in their minds, they are in control of the operation. —Michigan

Re: The Flood of Border Blood on Biden’s Hands

With the Iranians now feeling more confident (and buttressed by Russia and China, which are similarly unintimidated by Biden), it is all but certain that terrorists have already crossed our borders as part of the 1.4 million “gotaways” and are now biding their time in some Democrat sanctuary city. Apparently, it’s going to take seeing one of those cities destroyed for the Left to understand, too late, the need for a secure border. All that remains is to see how they’ll try to blame it on Donald Trump. —Georgia

For the tens of billions of dollars taxpayers are spending on education, housing, food, healthcare, and incarceration for illegal aliens, we could have built 1,951 miles of border wall — wait, that happens to be the length of our border with Mexico! —New York

Re: ‘Trad Wives’ Are Triggering Feminists

When I was in my elementary school years, whenever someone asked if my mom was a housewife, she would always respond by saying she wasn’t married to a house but that she was a homemaker. Quite a difference. Also, when I got home from school, I would call out a “Hello!” to her, and hearing a response would make me feel safer. I’m glad I grew up in the ‘50s and '60s. My dad only made about $7K per year, but I still greatly benefited from a full-time mom. —Utah

Years ago, I saw a cool bumper sticker: “All women work. Some just choose to work outside the home.” I did both. It is, and always was, about choice. My mother worked out of necessity. I worked because staying home all the time made me crazy. My kids grew up as good citizens. My son was a Navy destroyer sailor. My daughter was an Army MP. My husband was a Navy submarine sailor. He was gone a lot. We managed. —Nevada

Re: The Appalling 'Morality’ of Democrats

I, for the life of me, cannot understand how the party that tells us those under 25 have not the required brain development to be trusted with a firearm can turn around and tell us that an eight-year-old (or younger) can make a life-changing decision like “gender transition.” Now, if one reaches the age of Bruce (Caitlyn) Jenner and decides on self-mutilation and can pay for it, I have no problem with that person wasting time and dollars to fulfill a ridiculous dream. But preteens? I’m glad I’m ending the near of my time on this planet, but I fear for the future generations that will be faced with this and much worse. —Washington

Re: Friday Short Cuts

If Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan is right and we should just believe what our children say, we cannot punish a parent for poking his son’s eye out and giving him a patch because he wants to be a pirate. My own daughter, at age six, wanted to be a gymnast but retired from the Army. Am I a failure? Don’t think so! If you are so warped that you only accept the Left’s version of what childhood is, you should not have kids. —Nevada

Re: The ‘ChiCom Virus’ Pandemic — Year Three

Trump definitely erred in trusting Fauci. How refreshing to read the TRUTH about how these last few years morphed into a chaotic, dysfunctional government overreach. —Florida

Re: Profiles of Valor: Brian Shul

Great tribute profile on Brian Shul. Definitely a great role model for kids (and adults) to set goals, believe in yourself and God, and keep going despite the obstacles along the way. Even after all these years, my kids still remember that presentation and seeing a Blackbird out on the runway. So, to all parents out there, yes, it does matter what you expose your kids to. —Washington

Re: ‘Break Their Teeth, Lord!’

Great devotional! Good to see how God is working in your life. This is just the kind of testimony that young people need to see. My prayer and goal is to testify to this generation and the generation to come that God is for real and can be trusted to do all He says. Semper Fi! —Ohio
