Re: Is the High Church of Woke Collapsing?
“I was baptized an Episcopalian and confirmed as an Episcopalian at age 12. I’m the product of 12 years of Sunday School, a former alter boy and crucifer. But when I came home from Vietnam in 1970, my church had changed. I left my home church for many years before returning to find Mother Someone, a lesbian living in the rectory with her partner, officiating. I left the church angry and empty. I am now a member of a Bible-based church, but like Mark Alexander, I miss the old liturgy.” —Connecticut
“If I recall correctly, the Lord God broke bad on Sodom and Gomorrah for their perversions. How does this sexually depraved cult that has taken over the Episcopal Church think it will survive His wrath?” —Arizona
“Many years ago, as Alexander noted, the Episcopal Church in New Hampshire confirmed the first homosexual bishop. What happened next in New Hampshire history, you ask? The great stone face, the symbol of New Hampshire, fell from grace to the rubble pile below. I moved out of New Hampshire shortly after.” —Massachusetts
“The same pollution is taking root in the United Methodist Church, which is even now undergoing a split between the traditionalists and the ‘woke.’ The UMC is well down the path to self destruction.” —Texas
“Just a note to displaced Episcopalians: See if you have an Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) parish nearby.” —Georgia
Re: Obama: ‘People Are Rightly Skeptical’ of Racial Reconciliation
“The Democrat mantra is that the only poverty in America is that of blacks. But there are more white people living in poverty than there are blacks. And if you define ‘white’ by skin color rather than Northern European, that number is far greater. The whole narrative is baloney and was accelerated hugely with Johnson’s Great Society. Now the Democrats and their fellow travelers want to expand on it by throwing good resources after bad. Obama’s third term is even worse than his first two.” —Virginia
Re: Twisted ‘Sisters’ Reap the Nothingness
“What a bunch of cowards. The Dodgers are so eager to support the alphabet people right up until the Catholics, who are supposed to quietly accept the ridicule as usual, suddenly show up in numbers to prove they have a voice too. Then the farcical ‘recognition’ takes place in a virtually empty stadium so they can claim to have shown support to both sides. If someone wrote this as a comedy movie, it would never sell — it’s too ridiculously stupid to be believed.” —Pennsylvania
“Taiwan wants to be a free democracy and China is a totalitarian country that wants to conquer the world. We need a leader who upholds the very reason we had the Korean and Vietnamese wars, as well as WWI and WWII, which was to fight totalitarianism. If Joe doesn’t feel that way, he needs to put someone in there who does.” —Maine
“Regarding the Chinese balloon, shouldn’t we ask a question I haven’t seen asked? That is, since we shot the balloon down and recovered the entire payload, did the balloon have spy equipment or not? Or were we so incompetent that we did not recover the payload, and now can’t find it on the ocean floor?” —California
Re: The Leftmedia Loathes a Certain Kennedy
“If Kennedy were to be the Democrat nominee, he would be a significant challenge to Trump. Trump might beat Biden, but I’m not sure about Kennedy. Other Republicans would have a better chance, assuming Trump’s base doesn’t take its ball and go home or shift its support to Kennedy. That is the real wild card in the 2024 election.” —Virginia
“If mainstream media were operating under a capitalist business model, they would have switched to center-right-focused programming and content after seeing years of declining viewership and ad dollars while witnessing the successful Fox model. But, as the writer notes, they did not, which leads me to believe the messaging became more important than the profit. The question is, how and why?” —New Jersey
Re: In Brief: Where Do Christians Draw the Line?
“Vanguard and BlackRock manage billions of investment funds, including many state pension funds. Stockholders can introduce stockholder resolutions to oppose the critical race theory (CRT), diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and environment, social, and governance (ESG) agendas of the World Economic Forum. ESG investments oppose fossil fuels and nuclear power and support solar power, wind farms, electric vehicles, and global depopulation efforts. The purpose of DEI officers is to implement communism. CRT is being taught in schools to tear apart our social cohesion. Vanguard and BlackRock are the enforcers. Contact your governor and state and local representatives to oppose CRT, DEI, and ESG.” —Ohio
“Joe Biden stating ‘I’ve committed that by 2020, we will have conserved 30% of all the lands and waters the United States has jurisdiction over’ is EXACTLY why we need to implement the 25th Amendment and replace him. He is having severe memory and mental issues that are exactly like what we saw with my mother a year before she passed. Our president, the leader of the free world, can’t remember where he has been, what reporters to pick without a cheat sheet, and now even what year it currently is. Get the 25th Amendment process started now, PLEASE!” —Illinois
“The Trump analysis by former AG Bill Barr is spot on. The sooner conservative Americans understand the true persona of the former president, the better it will be for our country in 2024. If not, it’ll be four more years of Biden/Harris or the equally despicable Gavin Newsom. I shudder at the possibility!” —California
