Americans remain panicked by insurance uncertainty and a president with no credibility.
In the end, there is only bankruptcy. Moral, emotional and intellectual bankruptcy. Last Thursday, President Obama did the nation a profound favor, albeit unintentionally. He revealed the utter fraud of a progressive ideology that is about nothing more than the accumulation of power -- by any means necessary. It is an ideology where there are no values, save those that apply to a given moment, right here, right now. If and when the moment changes, progressives like the president are entirely comfortable with taking positions that are completely the opposite of those they previously embraced, even as they remain immune to their own hypocrisy.

It's not going well for fans of ObamaCare. For example, when former Obama campaign manager David Axelrod blames the *insurance companies* for not warning people they would lose their coverage, a video compilation of Obama repeatedly telling people they could keep it reveals what a pathetic toady Axelrod really is. And that compilation only covers the years 2008-2010. During the 2012 presidential debate, Obama was at it again, followed by another encore as late as Sept. 25, 2013. And finally for David and all of his equally duplicitous progressive pals, here's what was posted *yesterday* on the Whitehouse.gov website: "If you like your plan you can keep it and you don't have to change a thing due to the health care law."

Recently, there have been many attempts to get a handle on why there is so much public discontent. I think all the reasoning can be boiled down to one idea: Americans feel powerless. Millions of us look at Washington, D.C. and see one thing and one thing only, namely a ruling class that is completely out of touch with ordinary Americans and their concerns. Fortunately that same ruling class, in their unbridled hubris, has made a critical error. They've presented the public with an extraordinary opportunity to give the federal government one of the grander smack downs that any public could give any out-of-control government. And all the American public has to do to give Washington that smack down is.....nothing.
