'Kids are too impressionable and imagine if these letters got in the wrong hands in years to come." The 12- and 13-year-old kids at Beaucamps High School in Guernsey were told to consider what it would be like to become a Muslim. They also had to write a letter to their loved ones explaining their decision to become a Muslim.
The war on poultry rages on yet another public university campus, this time at the University of Nebraska — Kearney. The hullabaloo started last January when students were asked to select a new dining option for the student union. Their choices included Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, IHOP, A&W and Sbarro. The youngsters chose Chick-fil-A in a landslide. I mean, who doesn't love a plump juicy chicken breast tucked between hot, buttered buns? However, it turns out majority does not rule at the University of Nebraska — Kearney. A vocal minority pitched a fit and demanded that Chick-fil-A be banished from campus.
Let's be honest. Hollywood does not exactly have the best track record when it comes to producing accurate faith-based movies. Remember the giant rock creatures from "Noah"? So when I heard that Sony Pictures was about to release a faith-based film called "Risen," I was a bit skeptical. Typically faith-based movies are faith-bashing movies. And when "Risen" earned three-and-a-half stars from the left wingers at the Seattle Times, I was incredulous. But when I saw the film's trailer, I was astonished — Hollywood got it right.
After watching the mayhem at last week's GOP presidential debate, I've decided it's time for the Republican candidates to have a Come-to-Jesus meeting. Guys, we get it. Donald, you can't take a punch. Ted, you think you're smarter than everybody else. Marco, you love to flip flop. Jeb, you're a Bush. We get it. So how about dropping the personal insults and start talking about the issues — like looking out for the American working man?
A Pennsylvania high school has launched an investigation after a photograph surfaced of a student desecrating an American flag inside a classroom at Richland High School. The repulsive photograph, reportedly posted online over the Valentine's Day weekend, shows a young man standing on Old Glory as a female student stands nearby with her middle finger raised. Seething outrage would be a good way to describe the reaction in Richland Township — a country town that prides itself on patriotism. "What a shameful display of ignorance, contempt and utter disregard for the country, flag and veterans' sacrifice," one resident wrote online.
Coffee is not exactly Thomas Rusert's cup of tea. Nevertheless, every Thursday morning Pastor Thomas indulges himself in a steaming cup of java at local coffee houses. It appears San Diego City Hall has been overrun by a wild pack of militant, man-hating feminists who are hell-bent on neutering the King's English. To quote "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy," Great Odin's raven! City Hall recently published an edict on bias-free language — part of a larger correspondence manual for city workers. "Our goal is to encourage bias-free language — language that does not create or perpetuate real or perceived prejudice — in our written and spoken communication," the city explained in its manual.
The name of Jesus is not welcome in the Johnson Space Center newsletter, according to a complaint filed on behalf of a group of Christians who work for NASA. The JSC Praise & Worship Club was directed by NASA attorneys to refrain from using the name "Jesus" in club announcements that appeared in a Space Center newsletter. "It was shocking to all of us and very frustrating," NASA engineer Sophia Smith told me. "NASA has a long history of respecting religious speech. Why wouldn't they allow us to put the name Jesus in the announcement about our club?"
Senator Ted Cruz is now the frontrunner in the Republican race for the White House. But if you believe the mainstream media and the political pundits, Marco Rubio won the Iowa Caucus. Just look at Tuesday's news coverage — they marginalized Senator Cruz and glorified Senator Rubio. And that's the narrative. Cruz may have won, but Rubio is more electable. And yet the numbers in Iowa tell a very different story. One out of three evangelical voters chose Cruz. So did four out of ten very conservative voters.
The Baby Jesus, Tom Turkey and Cupid are about to be given the heave-ho at a Minnesota elementary school to be more inclusive of their ethnically diverse student population. Bruce Vento Elementary School, in St. Paul, has decided to stop celebrating Valentine's Day along with other "dominant holidays" including Thanksgiving and Christmas. "My personal feeling is we need to find a way to honor and engage in holidays that are inclusive of our student population," Principal Scott Masini wrote in a letter to parents.
A public high school has been accused of radical Islamic indoctrination by forcing children to profess the Muslim statement of faith, ordering them to memorize the Five Pillars of Islam and teaching that the faith of a Muslim is stronger than the average Christian, according to a federal lawsuit filed Wednesday. Thomas More Law Center filed the lawsuit on behalf of John and Melissa Wood. They accuse La Plata High School in Maryland of subjecting their teenage daughter to Islamic indoctrination and propaganda. And when Mr. Wood complained, the school banned him from campus.
By now you know that Donald Trump has dropped out of the Fox News debate, turning his back on the voters of Iowa. Instead of answering our fair and balanced questions, he has chosen to viciously attack my colleague Megyn Kelly. She is a fine journalist, a wife and a mother. His repugnant words will not be repeated here. What kind of a conservative would say such things about a lady? What kind of a *man* would say such things? Surely such words do not reflect the "New York values" that Mr. Trump so cherishes.

"Our faith is founded in prayer." The wussification of Wisconsin has begun. Last month the state's governing body for high school athletics declared that chanting "U-S-A, U-S-A" is unsportsmanlike behavior. The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association also directed schools to stop fans from booing, or chanting "Air Ball," "Season's Over," "Fundamentals," "Scoreboard," and "Over-Rated."

Could you imagine the national media firestorm had the school been recruiting for Donald Trump's campaign? Students at Marshwood High School in South Berwick received an email from the Clinton campaign urging them to sign up for positions as unpaid "fellows."
For more than a decade boys and girls at Glenview Elementary School would start the day by gathering on the playground to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. The children of Haddon Heights, New Jersey, would conclude their patriotic service by saying "God bless America." It was a tradition birthed by two kindergarten teachers in the aftermath of the Muslim terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 — a way to honor those who lost their lives on that terrible day. But that tradition ended Monday thanks to the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey.
