Ron Helle Bio

Ron Helle is a highly decorated career Marine officer who worked his way through the ranks, retiring as a Major after 22 years of service. If he looks familiar, that is because he is the twin brother of another Marine veteran grassroots writer, Roger Helle. Serving three years in Vietnam, Ron was awarded the Navy Cross and three Purple Hearts. Since his retirement from the Marine Corps, he has had a diverse career including private and contract security in Iraq. He has pastored two church startups, taught Scripture, and served in various ministry capacities, particularly to active-duty military personnel and veterans. His devotions emerge from his diverse life experiences. He currently resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife of more than 50 years, Lynne. Read Mark Alexander's profile of Ron, "The Heroic Helle Brothers."

God’s ‘You’ Imperatives

Probed

As soldiers of the cross, we can be sure that our enemy is probing us for weaknesses in our defenses.

Stumbling

Stumbling isn’t confined to the natural world. We can stumble in our spiritual journey as well.

Daniel and the ‘Wise Men’

The prophet knew, and I have since learned, that God’s ways are not our ways.

Ron Helle / August 23, 2024

Inoculated

Sadly, a good portion of the church has, in a sense, been “vaccinated” against catching a full-on variant of Christianity.

God’s Ear

The next time you feel you need to go someplace special to find God’s presence, remember He hears you wherever you may be.
