Ron Helle is a highly decorated career Marine officer who worked his way through the ranks, retiring as a Major after 22 years of service. If he looks familiar, that is because he is the twin brother of another Marine veteran grassroots writer, Roger Helle. Serving three years in Vietnam, Ron was awarded the Navy Cross and three Purple Hearts. Since his retirement from the Marine Corps, he has had a diverse career including private and contract security in Iraq. He has pastored two church startups, taught Scripture, and served in various ministry capacities, particularly to active-duty military personnel and veterans. His devotions emerge from his diverse life experiences. He currently resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife of more than 50 years, Lynne. Read Mark Alexander's profile of Ron, "The Heroic Helle Brothers."

Strength and Honor: Part I

Go the Distance
We men need the fellowship of our brothers if we are to “go the distance” in our Christian journey.
The Welfare of the City
Let me ask you child of God, how is the welfare of your city? Your nation?
Faulty Logic
As Christians, we often apply faulty logic in many of our expectations of God.
God’s ‘You’ Imperatives
Let me relate a few commands (not suggestions) we should keep in mind so that as Christians we aren’t lone rangers.
