Greetings, everyone. OK, y’all know what tomorrow is? And no, this is not a GEICO commercial, and I am not a camel advocating for “hump day.” Tomorrow is the 239th anniversary of our U.S. Constitution. Now, I have to ask: how many of you reading this have followed the recommended two-week Constitution study guide that we presented at the beginning of the month? If not, well, you can relive your college days and cram for the exam this evening. Here is the piece from two weeks ago.

And if there is anyone who needs to refresh themselves on the U.S. Constitution, not that they will, it is the Marxist representatives, meaning Democrats, of the California legislature. These cheeky folks just came up with the most absurd piece of legislation, and that is saying a lot. They have decided to place restrictions on — no, ban — the hiring of former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers for local and state government jobs. Leading this dubious, delusional effort is California State Assemblyman Mark Gonzalez (D-Los Angeles). The legislation, which passed along party lines, meaning useful idiots, is proposed to “prohibit officers and contractors involved in immigration enforcement from being employed in the future by the State, cities, counties, school districts, and other public entities in California.”

Look, I am not a lawyer, but I would love to be the one who takes this to court!

First of all, it is apparent that California Assemblyman Gonzalez has not read the Constitution, in this case Article IV, Section 4, known as the “Guarantee Clause.” The United States, meaning the federal government, is to guarantee to every state in the Union protection from invasion. This is something that the Biden administration did not do, and without any doubt constitutes a high crime and misdemeanor, an impeachable offense. So, now, we have the Trump administration following the Constitution, and the state of California has decided that they will punish those who are charged with enforcing the law. And we have made it very clear on these pages: 8 U.S.C. 1325 affirms that unauthorized entry into the United States is a federal offense, first time a misdemeanor, subsequent times a felony offense.

So, let me get this right: a California “lawmaker,” and I use that term with question, has created legislation to punish law enforcement officers at the federal level who are enforcing the law? And, oh, by the way, Article VI, Section 2 of the Constitution, known as the Supremacy Clause, supports the federal government when “in pursuance thereof” to the Constitution to be supreme over lower jurisdictions, meaning states, counties, and local municipalities. Maybe Assemblyman Gonzalez should have a crash course on the Constitution this evening before our 239th Constitution Day tomorrow. It is quite obvious that he, along with his Marxist cohorts, who despise our rule of law, is in need of such.

Take, for instance, California State Senator Lena Gonzalez (D-Long Beach), who says this absurd piece of legislation is necessary because in California they “expect its public employees to be moral.” Things that make you go hmm. So abiding by and enforcing the law is not considered moral by this California state senator? Here is the crux of the matter: Marxists are not concerned with the Constitution or individual constitutional rights. Anything that does not align with their ideological agenda is immoral to them. So, defending our national sovereignty and protecting American citizens from those here illegally is not moral. But, in California, if a parent does not want to subject their child to gender mutilation, that is immoral, and their child must be taken away from them. Or in the case of Massachusetts, it is moral to dismember a baby in the womb right up until the time of birth.

Leftists and their Islamist comrades define morality along the lines of their insidious ideology. And those in violation of their definition of morality, being ICE officers, must be punished. It is very simple: if you do not want ICE officers in neighborhoods, then have local law enforcement enter into 287(g) cooperation agreements and turn over detained criminal illegal immigrants. Remember, being here illegally is a crime. The deranged declaration of being a sanctuary state or city for illegal immigrants is unlawful, unconstitutional, and immoral. However, it aligns with the Marxist agenda, so it is perfectly acceptable to them. Truthfully, any elected official declaring their jurisdiction as a sanctuary for those who have broken the law is an accessory to their crime, complicit. They should be the ones punished and held accountable, not the law enforcement officers who are enforcing the law.

This example in California is not isolated. It has been repeated in Maryland, where I met with sheriffs, as well as Colorado, Washington State, Minnesota, and New York State. Marxist “lawmakers,” attorneys general, and governors are telling law enforcement that they cannot enforce the law all because the law does not align with their ideology, their agenda.

Isaiah 5:20 warns us of this time, when people will call evil good and good evil. Here we are: the law is not moral, but immorality is acceptable. And protecting our sovereignty and the American people is not moral. Just ask the parents of 18-year-old Loyola University Chicago student Sheridan Gorman. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson should be charged as an accessory to her murder. Instead, he is out there demonizing ICE officers.

Perhaps you recall the Superman comic book character Bizarro, the anti-hero who does things backward. We are living in a Bizarro world. This is not California Dreamin’; it is a California nightmare. Worse, it is a constitutional debacle.

Steadfast and Loyal.
