All the left-wing politicians and pundits who were furious about Donald Trump’s nomination of Matt Gaetz certainly were celebrating when Gaetz withdrew his name. Their celebration was short-lived.
 
Within hours, Trump announced that former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi would be his choice to lead the Justice Department. Heads at MSNBC started exploding. Here’s how a MSNBC commentator put it:
 
“Pam Bondi is what I said we should fear because she is competent. We may not agree with her ideologically, but she knows how to do this job… Pam Bondi knows what she is doing about immigration… She is a dangerous and effective pick.”
 
She’s “competent.” She’s “effective.” And, thus, she is “dangerous” because she will get the rot out of the Justice Department.
 
It just proves that most of the left’s criticisms of Trump’s cabinet nominations are based on the fact that they don’t want Trump to implement the agenda he ran on. And the left really doesn’t want them to reform these federal agencies and drain the Swamp.
 
Bondi, Florida’s first female attorney general, has an extensive career as a prosecutor. More importantly, Donald Trump has known her for many years. Bondi was part of the defense team during Trump’s first impeachment.
 
Trump trusts her to shake up the Department of Justice, something he made clear. Trump wrote:
 
“For too long, the partisan Department of Justice has been weaponized against me and other Republicans - Not anymore. Pam will refocus the DOJ to its intended purpose of fighting Crime and Making America Safe Again.”
 
Anyone the left deems “dangerous and effective” is an excellent choice in my opinion!
 
 
 
Biden’s Betrayal
 
It’s a good thing Pam Bondi knows how to deal with illegal immigration. The Biden/Harris administration is blatantly betraying the will of the American people. Not only is Biden escalating the war in Ukraine, he just put his open border policies on steroids.
 
The Department of Homeland Security is launching a new immigration app that allows illegal aliens to completely skip in-person check-ins at immigration enforcement offices. Worse, the app provides no vetting for criminal histories or outstanding warrants.
 
Anyone, including foreign terrorists, can get into the country with this app.
 
Adding insult to injury, the Biden administration announced this new app just 24 hours after Laken Riley’s illegal alien murderer was convicted.
 
Why, in their last 59 days in office, are Biden and Harris attempting to flood America with even more unvetted people?
 
 
 
The Resistance
 
For those of you who invest in the stock market, Barron’s is a weekly financial newspaper and can be a useful resource. It’s part of Rupert Murdoch’s media empire, along with Fox News, the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal. I bring it up because Barron’s increasingly sounds like a left-wing rag.
 
An item on their website Friday morning was headlined, “Who Is Pam Bondi… What To Know About The Former Florida Attorney General.” What Barron’s thought was really important for you to know is that she is the Chair of the Center for Litigation at the America First Policy Institute — drum roll — “a right-wing group,” as Barron’s put it.
 
Notice that the word conservative is almost never used now, unless it’s applied to an establishment Republican sellout. That individual is then held up as a “true conservative.”
 
Everyone else who is fighting to save the country is a “right-wing politician.” Or in the case of an organization advocating for policies that put America first, it’s a “right-wing group.”
 
It’s all part of the left’s ongoing effort to marginalize populist conservatives and make it difficult, if not impossible, for us to be treated fairly, to serve in government, to speak out publicly, etc., etc.
 
The Barron’s article also went on to note that Bondi owns stock in the publicly traded Trump Media and Technology Group. So what? She’s been out of public office for several years. As a private citizen, she is allowed to invest in anything she wants.
 
I can’t remember whether Barron’s investigated Nancy Pelosi’s incredible stock market success over the years. Her timing to buy and sell has been amazing. Insider information?
 
 
 
Rove Too
 
Here’s another reminder that it’s not just the far-left and their media “lap dogs” that are fighting MAGA.
 
Writing in the Wall Street Journal, Karl Rove made yet another “contribution” to the struggle in America between us and the left by attacking Trump’s cabinet nominations. The headline of his editorial was “Trump Sends Clowns To Cabinet Confirmation Circus.”
 
Really, Karl? Some folks think you are the “Bozo.”
 
For years, Karl Rove has been one of the GOP’s premier fundraisers and strategists. He’s been taking potshots at Donald Trump over the last four years as Trump was trying to stay out of prison and dodging assassination attempts.
 
Rove tries to undermine Trump every chance he gets. Of course, he is deeply embedded in the Bush wing of the party, along with former Vice President Dick Cheney and his daughter, Liz, who have tried to destroy populist conservatives.
 
It never ends.
 
 
 
A Striking Contrast
 
Two new car ads are in the news. One is from Volvo. The whole theme of the ad is the importance of family and that those you love will be safe in a Volvo vehicle. It ends with the words “FOR LIFE” on the screen. Watch it here.
 
The Volvo ad is getting attention at the same time a new Jaguar ad was just released. Oddly, no cars appear in the Jaguar commercial. Instead, we see eight freaks, including at least two men in drag.
 
So, an iconic car known for speed, the kind of car you’d want in a drag race, puts out an ad featuring drag queens. Jaguar’s ad department took a sharp left detour somewhere.
 
This just another example of the sickness among elites in Western culture.
 
 
 
Left-wing Lunacy
 
Chuck Schumer is scrambling to ram through as many far-left judges as he can while he still can. But there is a case pending in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that exposes the insane activists the left is putting on the federal bench.
 
Judge M. Margaret McKeown, a Clinton appointee, is hearing a case involving a traditional Korean women’s spa in Washington State. Because the spa offers a body scrub that requires women to be fully undressed, the Christian owners do not allow men in the women’s spa.
 
Well, men pretending to be women wanted to get into the spa and they sued claiming discrimination. Not that long ago, this would have been an open-and-shut case. But Judge McKeown declared that the “women only” policy was just like a “white only” policy.
 
The left wants to break down all the rules of normal life. And they’re showing that their concern for women ends once a woman has aborted her baby. 
 
 
 
Casey Concedes
 
After pointless courtroom battles by Marc Alias, the Democrats’ legal henchman, and attempts by corrupt leftist officials failed to steal the election, Senator Bob Casey finally conceded to Republican challenger David McCormick.
 
Republicans now have 53 seats in the Senate. Here’s why it matters: On important votes, we can afford to lose a couple of senators like Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Susan Collins (ME), who are often “deserters.”
 
In addition, with a 53rd senator, we can afford to lose another weak-kneed Republican — fill in the blank there are plenty to choose from — and still have Vice President Vance break a 50-50 tie in our favor.
 
That’s not a minor point, and it’s why Democrats tried so hard to steal the seat.

• Ellen DeGeneres and her “spouse,” Portia de Rossi, have left the country, as they said they would if Trump won the election. A tip of the hat to them for keeping their word. May they inspire others. 

• Grand Canyon University, a Christian university targeted by the Biden/Harris administration, won a major legal victory against radical Department of Education bureaucrats. 

• The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Indiana’s law protecting children from mutilating transgender medical experiments. 

• Parental rights advocates won significant victories (here and here) in local school board elections. 

• Boeing has joined the growing list of major corporations dumping divisive DEI policies. Hopefully, they can turn their attention back to building safe planes. 

• Disney scrapped an episode of a cartoon show depicting a transgender high school volleyball player. That was a smart call.
