A new ceasefire agreement was negotiated overnight Thursday. No, not between Ukraine and Russia nor between Hamas and Israel. This possible ceasefire is between Elon Musk and President Trump.
 
Previous reports of a Trump/Musk call taking place Friday appeared to have been overstated. The White House now says that Musk wants a call, but there is nothing on the president’s schedule.
 
Friday morning, President Trump said, “I won’t be speaking to him for a while, I guess, but I wish him well.” Sources add there is a lot going on behind the scenes to stop the fighting and mend the relationship.
 
Here’s my question for Elon Musk, “Where do you think you will go to make a political home? Are you going to go from where you are now to being on the side that’s hostile to the idea of America, hostile to capitalism, and hostile to free speech? Are you going to embrace bigotry against faith and family?”
 
Musk suggested we need a third party. No, Elon, you still have something to learn about American politics.
 
Many people say they want a third party. But that doesn’t mean they want the same third party. Some of those people want a more left-wing party than the Democrats, and others want a more conservative party than the Republicans.
 
The most likely result of a semi-serious third-party movement started by Musk would be breaking off the libertarian wing of the GOP, splitting the conservative vote, and guaranteeing the Left wins. And then Elon would be headed to jail.
 
We’ve seen this movie before. Ross Perot split the conservative vote and handed the 1992 and 1996 elections to Bill Clinton.
 
Just because you know how to put a man on Mars doesn’t mean you know everything about politics.

As people like Elon Musk, Sen. Rand Paul, and others attack President Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” I want to remind you of some of the things in this legislation that we can all applaud. As it is currently written, the bill: 

• Ends taxes on tips and overtime pay. 

• Provides seniors with a historic tax cut. 

• Fully funds the border wall and beefs up immigration enforcement. 

• Increases the per-child tax credit from $2,000 to $2,500. 

• Bans federal funding for abortion providers and transgender sex changes.

The economy created 139,000 new jobs last month, beating economists’ expectations of 125,000 new jobs. The biggest gains were in the healthcare and leisure sectors, while federal government jobs fell by 22,000. Fewer bureaucrats is good news.
 
 
 
The Lawless Left
 
Left-wing politicians at every level of government are in full-throated attack against the laws of our nation and the courageous law enforcement officers who keep us safe.
 
Last week, the leader of House Democrats promised to expose the identities of federal immigration police. Now, the radical mayor of Boston is comparing immigration police officers to neo-Nazis while she protects violent criminal aliens, including murderers and child rapists.
 
Todd Lyons, the chief of our immigration police, fired back at Boston’s blockheaded mayor, saying:
 
“My officers and agents walk into danger so other people can sleep safely at night, so kids can make it to school safely and play outside…
 
"Politicians need to stop putting my people in danger. I’m not asking them to stop. I’m demanding that they stop… These are real people with real families you’re hurting with your ridiculous rhetoric and inflammatory comments, and it’s time to remember that.”
 
In the aftermath of the George Floyd riots, the Left embraced the radical idea of “defunding the police.” It blew up in their faces. But here they are again. And this time it’s not just defund the police, it’s “fight the police.”
 
They are telling their unhinged base federal law officers are Nazis and must be stopped. Attacks against immigration enforcement officers are up 400%.

The danger does not come from only crazed leftists. The Left is also putting officers at risk from retribution from violent drug cartels who want to kill these agents and their families.
 
Whether it’s the rapists and murderers they’re protecting in their “sanctuary cities” or the gangs and cartels at war with our law enforcement officers, these left-wing politicians are siding with the worst of the worst.
 
We are at the point where America cannot survive another election cycle with these neo-Marxists back in control of Congress and the White House. It would be the end of our Republic.
 
 
 
On Our Own
 
One thing I hear many good people say is that we need to stand with our European allies as they and Ukraine are confronting Russia. But when I ask them how we are going to replenish our supplies for a possible major war just over the horizon with communist China, they have no clue.
 
Here’s the reality we’re facing: Multiple European leaders have made it clear that if war breaks out in Asia, it’s not their problem and we’re on our own.
 
So, we’re supposed to defend them from Russia while they publicly say they will not help us against communist China. That’s “America last,” and it doesn’t work anymore.
 
French President Emmanuel Macron toured Asia last week. He urged countries to not pick sides between us and communist China. He argued that there’s a “third way” and they don’t need to get in between the United States and communist China. Is this how an ally conducts himself?
 
The Pentagon is moving a missile defense system out of Ukraine and to the Middle East. Why? To protect assets we have in the region just in case things go badly with Iran.
 
Some in the fake news media are saying this move is another example of Trump abandoning Ukraine. So, Ukraine is supposed to be a higher priority than our own national security? 
 
By the way, the people screaming the most in the Democrat Party that Trump is not doing enough to help Ukraine are the same people who will gut the defense budget if they regain power. 
 
Here’s another point to keep in mind. NATO is essentially a military club. Clubs have dues. When President Trump calls out our allies over their weak defense budgets, he’s not undermining or blowing up the NATO alliance.
 
He is merely telling other members of the “club” that they have to pay their dues. How is that blowing up the club? It is making the club stronger.
 
What’s the most notable thing going on right now in Europe? Every country is finally, as Trump urged, massively boosting their defense spending to make NATO stronger. You’re welcome, Europe.
 
 
 
Remembering D-Day
 
Friday marked the 81st anniversary of D-Day. More than 150,000 American and Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy in an onslaught that began the liberation of Europe and, ultimately, ended Adolf Hitler’s tyranny. My family and I visited those Normandy beaches and cemeteries a few years ago.
 
In a statement recognizing this pivotal moment in world history, President Trump declared:
 
“We are grateful for those young men who answered their nations’ calls and faced the carnage of war in order to defeat tyranny—and we are eternally indebted to the souls who gave their lives in this noble struggle. 
 
"It is our solemn obligation to remember their heroic stories, honor their sacrifices, and ensure that the freedom for which they died may never again be in peril.”

• President Donald Trump issued an order requiring senior government managers to take 80 hours of training on the U.S. Constitution, “Founding ideals of our government,” and Trump’s executive orders. 

• A federal judge blocked the state of New York from forcing a Christian business owner to participate in a same-sex wedding. 

• Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen signed legislation into law protecting girls’ and women’s sports from cheating boys and men. 

• A Maryland high school student and future Marine, who was suspended for seven days for asking why his school classrooms did not have their required American flags, just won a significant settlement from the Baltimore County school board. 

• A North Carolina high school student, who was suspended for three days for saying “illegal alien,” just won a $20,000 settlement and a public apology from the school board.
