President Trump left the G7 Summit early Monday to return to Washington, D.C., because of growing risks in the Middle East. He ordered his National Security Council to be ready and waiting in the Situation Room when he returned. The president also posted this message on Truth Social:
 
“Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”
 
Unlike the ayatollah, the Iranian people seem to be taking President Trump much more seriously. Media reports show major roads leading out of Tehran are jammed with cars and trucks.
 
Meanwhile, more than two dozen U.S. refueling air tankers left the United States Monday headed for bases in the Middle East. These “tankers” would allow U.S. aircraft to reach targets in Iran and refuel in the air. The USS Nimitz carrier strike group is also en route to the region, bringing additional firepower.
 
President Trump has repeatedly made it clear that Iran must not be permitted to have nuclear weapons. The ayatollah continues to demand the right to a nuclear program, and he will not budge.
 
While the United States deploys strategic assets to the Middle East, Israel’s air campaign against the Iranian regime continues. Israel announced Monday that it took out the Iranian military’s chief of staff. He had only been on the job for four days, and now he’s dead.
 
One thing we can say with certainty is that anyone promoted to the upper echelons of the Iranian military doesn’t need to worry about a long-term retirement program.
 
 
 
Trump v. Tucker
 
There are some prominent people in the MAGA movement, including good people like Tucker Carlson, who are adamant that the United States should not get involved in this conflict with Iran. I agree it would be a fool’s errand to commit ground troops in any way.
 
But no one, including Israel, is asking us to do that.
 
What most MAGA voters wanted was an end to long “nation-building” wars that took an incredible toll in human lives and resources with no strategy to actually win the war. There was no path to victory because we weren’t allowed to do the necessary things that win wars.
 
Again, President Trump has been absolutely clear that Iran must not have nuclear weapons. But one of Iran’s main nuclear facilities, Fordow, is literally built deep within a mountain.
 
If the only way to stop Iran’s nuclear weapons program is to provide U.S. bunker-busting bombs, there are many MAGA voters who are open to that, perhaps even the president himself.
 
President Trump responded Monday to some of the criticism from his base with this statement:
 
“AMERICA FIRST means many GREAT things, including the fact that, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
 
Unless the ayatollah believes that the full weight of American power will be deployed against him, Iran is unlikely to come back to the negotiating table.
 
Yesterday afternoon, President Trump made his position clear. In back-to-back Truth Social posts, Trump wrote that we know exactly where the ayatollah is hiding, adding, “We are not going to take him out, at least not for now.” Trump followed that with a short two-word message to Iran: “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
 
While estimates vary, it is believed that roughly 1.5 million Iranians live in the United States, with a quarter of them (400,000) in Los Angeles.
 
What is telling to me is that this war has been going on for five days now, and I am not aware of any demonstrations, here or abroad, by diaspora Iranians in favor of the Islamic regime. Most Iranians left Iran because they didn’t want to be ruled by the mullahs.
 
A final thought: Don’t forget that Iran has repeatedly threatened to assassinate President Trump, and these were not idle threats. (See next item.)
 
 
 
More Threats
 
The FBI just arrested Peter Stinson, a former Coast Guard officer, for threatening the life of President Trump. Not only is Stinson a self-identified member of Antifa, he is also a trained sharpshooter.
 
We cannot forget for one second that there are deranged leftists out there who want to see the president killed, who want to see the vice president killed, and anyone else in the administration. We need to constantly pray for their safety.
 
The danger cannot be underestimated, and it is stoked, in part, by the constant left-wing rhetoric that claims President Trump is a “fascist” and anyone who voted for him is a “Nazi.”
 
 
 
Beijing Gets Busted
 
Communist China had a plan to rig the 2020 election to help Joe Biden. And, no, I’m not referring to COVID.
 
FBI Director Kash Patel just turned over documents to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley that detail a Chinese plot to mass-produce American drivers’ licenses for a mail-in ballot fraud scheme.
 
This initial intelligence report, however, was never made public because it was “spiked” by the FBI leadership, allegedly for additional vetting.
 
The decision to pull the report is especially curious given public news reports at the time that corroborated the information in the report. Massive numbers of fake IDs coming from communist China were being confiscated at U.S. airports. These licenses were very sophisticated. Some even had functional barcodes.
 
But instead of exposing this very real plot by communist China, the FBI was busy convincing social media companies to censor any reports about Hunter Biden’s laptop as “Russian disinformation.” But in this case, the only “disinformation” was coming from the FBI itself, not the Russians.
 
In related news, Florida law enforcement officials recently arrested eight people, including two state employees, for selling drivers’ licenses to illegal aliens. Some of the fake licenses were commercial licenses to operate tractor-trailers.
 
We can hope and pray that these illegal aliens were just trying to get jobs. Or, maybe they were terrorists who wanted commercial IDs to carry out mass casualty attacks like those in Nice, France, or New Orleans.
 
 
 
Defending Normalcy
 
A Colorado Springs school district voted last week to protect girls’ sports from cheating boys claiming to be girls. The vote was 6 to 1. The lone dissenter blasted her colleagues on the school board, saying the new policy was “hateful” and “illegal.”
 
So, protecting young girls from confused, aggressive boys is “hateful.” The Left has only one play in its playbook that it uses all the time: demonize, demonize, demonize.
 
The good people of Colorado Springs had better prepare themselves. Even though they did the right thing, they’re about to get hit with a ton of bricks by the leftist, totalitarian gender-deniers who rule the state of Colorado. Colorado, along with roughly a dozen other left-wing states, is a “transgender sanctuary state.”
 
President Trump has vowed to cut off federal funding to states that ignore his executive order to protect girls’ sports. Polling shows that nearly 70% of Americans oppose boys cheating in girls’ sports.
 
It’s worth noting that Gallup’s latest survey shows there has been a 17-point swing against transgender ideology on the issue of girls’ sports in the past four years.
 
States that are resisting normalcy are ignoring the White House, ignoring the Department of Education, and ignoring the American people. Sometime soon, there will be a reckoning.
 
If the Supreme Court eventually rules that Title IX does not allow boys to cheat in girls’ sports, I predict there will be widespread disobedience in liberal cities across the country. If that happens, the proper response may be for conservative states to say they will not follow any court ruling banning school prayers at the beginning of the day.
