Iran Threatens Trump

Credible reports indicate that the Iranian regime threatened President Trump again at last week’s G-7 Summit.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has been threatening to assassinate President Trump for years now in retaliation for Trump taking out Iran’s terrorist mastermind, General Qasem Soleimani, in 2020. Credible reports indicate that the Iranian regime threatened President Trump again at last week’s G-7 Summit.

Iran sent a message warning Trump that its sleeper cells in the United States would be ordered to carry out terrorist attacks if the U.S. bombed Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

As we know, the president was not intimidated by Tehran’s threats. He went forward with the attack on their nuclear weapons program. If anything, the Islamic regime’s repeated threats against Trump’s life and the safety of the American people likely strengthened his resolve.

If Iran’s nuclear weapons program was allowed to proceed, it wouldn’t be long before the ayatollah was threatening us with nuclear terrorism.

Border Security Is National Security

Iranian sleeper cells have not entered the country since January 20th. We know that because President Trump has miraculously shut down the border. Iranian terrorists entered our country during Joe Biden’s open borders.

Biden not only tried to negotiate another weak nuclear deal with Iran, he also gave them billions of dollars in sanctions relief and he opened the border. More than 1,500 Iranians were caught at the southern border during Biden’s term. More than 700 of them were released into our country.

But many more Iranians were likely among the two million “gotaways.” We know those are bad people precisely because they tried to avoid any interaction with U.S. authorities.

Most illegal aliens wanting to enter our country willingly surrendered themselves to the Border Patrol. They knew Biden wouldn’t deport them. Anyone who paid to be smuggled in or deliberately evaded the Border Patrol during Biden’s open border years was up to no good.

Major cities across the country, including Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, and Washington, D.C., are increasing police patrols and stepping up security around churches, synagogues, and other possible targets.

It may be unrelated to events in Iran, but terrorists targeted several churches in Syria Sunday. The worst attack came when a jihadist homicide bomber killed more than two dozen people and injured more than 60 at a Greek Orthodox church in Damascus.

Who’s Upset

Iran reacted furiously to Saturday’s attack. Iran’s parliament voted to authorize shutting down the Strait of Hormuz. Twenty percent of the world’s oil passes through the strait.

Yesterday afternoon, Iran fired missiles at U.S. military bases in the Middle East, including the massive installation in Qatar, which is America’s largest base in the region. The Iranian attack failed as their missiles were successfully intercepted.

Russia condemned the U.S. strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities because Russia is an ally of Iran and has been using Iranian drones in its war against Ukraine. So much for Trump being “Putin’s puppet.”

Communist China “strongly condemned” the U.S. strike. China is also an ally of Iran and is the main buyer of sanctioned Iranian oil.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) condemned the attack as an “illegal and unjustified act of war.”

America’s enemies don’t like it when America is strong.

The disturbing thing is to see how upset leading members of the Democrat Party are. Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer, who previously accused Trump of caving in to the Iranians, blasted President Trump for acting “unilaterally” and having “no strategy.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats are demanding President Trump be impeached. They are willing and eager to do it again.

Democrats are siding with Russia, communist China, and the Islamic supremacists of CAIR. Iran’s leaders must be pleased that so many Democrats are upset by President Trump’s decisive action.

We need to be unified against the tyrants in Tehran who have been chanting “Death to Israel! Death to America!” for the past 46 years. But Democrats are giving aid and comfort to the Iranian regime by dividing America and doing everything they can to undermine President Trump.

No Leaks

Fox News national security reporter Jennifer Griffin is no fan of Donald Trump. Yet even she was impressed by the fact that there were no leaks jeopardizing this successful mission.

“In the last 18 years since I’ve been at the Pentagon,” Griffin said, “I’ve never seen such operational security. There was nobody speaking about this… That is a significant achievement because there were no leaks about the timing.”

The fake news media attempted to smear the White House by saying that congressional Democrats were not even informed about the strike on Iran. That’s another lie.

Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer was contacted by the White House. Administration officials also tried to get ahold of House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries but couldn’t reach him until after the attack took place.

Democrats on the congressional Intelligence committees are complaining that they did not get advanced notice. I’m sure it’s no coincidence that so few Democrats knew about the operation and there were no leaks to the media.

Brilliant Camouflage

It’s clear that President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu worked very closely to pull off this spectacular mission.

Trump said he was giving Iran two weeks to negotiate a deal. But Iran refused to abandon its uranium enrichment efforts, which were already far beyond anything needed for a peaceful nuclear program. But saying Iran had two weeks helped to camouflage the timing of the mission.

President Trump left the White House Friday afternoon and went to his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, making it look like he was going to enjoy a weekend of golf.

The B-2 bombers took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. The media reported they were going west and were headed to Guam. But seven of them later turned east and flew to Iran.

Was that subterfuge done in part to throw off any monitoring being done on the land communist China owns near Whiteman Air Force Base?

Enemies Within

A professor of Islamic Civilization at Georgetown University responded to news of the U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear weapons program by wishing for the death of U.S. troops.

Professor Jonathan AC Brown wrote on social media, “I’m not an expert, but I assume Iran could still get a bomb easily. I hope Iran does some symbolic strike on a base, then everyone stops.” He went on to praise Iran’s resistance and seemingly expressed his admiration for “the damage Iranian missiles caused” in Israel. Professor Brown has since deleted the post.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department posted a social media message expressing their condolences to the “victims and families impacted by the recent bombings in Iran,” which the post described as a “tragic event.”

That post was taken down and replaced with a formal apology for the “offensive,” “inappropriate,” and “unacceptable” message.

Anti-Israel agitator Mahoud Khail was released from federal detention this weekend. He immediately returned to Columbia University for a “globalize the intifada” rally.

Actress and singer Ariana Grande reposted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s demand for Donald Trump’s impeachment.

Consensus & Disagreement

The latest Fox News poll found a broad consensus among the American people (73%) that Iran was a serious national security threat to the United States. Even more (78%) said they were very concerned about Iran obtaining nuclear weapons.

But Americans were split when asked about Israel’s strikes against Iran’s nuclear weapons program – 49% approved and 46% disapproved.

A new Rasmussen poll found that 48% of Americans approved of using U.S. air power to support Israel in its war against Iran, while 40% opposed U.S. intervention on behalf of Israel.

The bottom line is that there is tremendous agreement among Americans on the need to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons. But Americans are divided on the question of how exactly to do that.

Concerns Remain

There are conflicting reports regarding the fate of a significant amount of Iran’s enriched uranium. Intelligence suggests that as much as 400 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium was evacuated from the Isfahan facility before Saturday’s airstrikes. Material may have been moved out of the Fordow site as well.

This is important because it’s not that difficult to enrich uranium from 60% to 90%, which is needed for nuclear weapons. Obviously, we would like to know for certain whether or not that uranium was destroyed.

There is also intelligence indicating that the Iranians may have actually stored more material at Fordow, believing it was “impenetrable.”

In addition to Iran’s uranium enrichment efforts, there are concerns about Iran’s ballistic missiles. Iran claims to have a space program for launching satellites into space. But the reality is that the technology that puts satellites into space is the same technology that puts intercontinental ballistic missiles into space.

Iran already has a vast arsenal of missiles that can hit targets all over the Middle East and in Europe. If left unchecked, Iran’s “space program” would quickly become a threat to New York City and Washington, D.C.
