Trump vs. the UN

“All they [the U.N.] seem to do is write a very strongly worded letter and never follow that letter up.”

President Donald Trump addressed the United Nations General Assembly yesterday in New York City. His remarks had a rocky start as the teleprompter wasn’t working. Trump quipped, “Whoever is operating this teleprompter is in big trouble.”

The president reminded the gathered diplomats of all the global conflicts he has resolved in his first seven months in office. He criticized the United Nations for not even trying to resolve these conflicts. “All they [the U.N.] seem to do is write a very strongly worded letter and never follow that letter up. Empty words don’t solve war. The only thing that solves war is action.”

To the cowardly countries recognizing a so-called “Palestinian state,” Trump said, “Instead of giving in to Hamas’s ransom demands, those who want peace should be united with one message: Release the hostages now.” The president’s words were met with tepid applause from the assembly of dictators and tyrants.

On Ukraine, President Trump repeated his demand that our European allies immediately stop buying Russian energy, “They can’t be doing what they’re doing. They’re buying oil and gas from Russia while they’re fighting Russia. It’s very embarrassing to them.”

Then, as only he could, Trump ripped the United Nations for creating problems, saying:

“The best example is the number one political issue of our time—the crisis of uncontrolled migration… The United Nations is funding an assault on Western countries and their borders.

"In 2024, the U.N. budgeted $372 million in cash assistance to support an estimated 624,000 migrants’ journey into the United States. The U.N. is supporting people that are illegally coming into the United States, and then we have to get them out… What took place is totally unacceptable. The U.N. is supposed to stop invasions, not create them and not finance them.

"In the United States we reject the idea that mass numbers of people from foreign lands can be permitted to travel halfway around the world, trample our borders, violate our sovereignty, cause unmitigated crime, and deplete our social safety net. We have asserted that America belongs to the American people.”

In closing his address, President Trump reflected on America’s founding and the “miracles of history” in 1776. Looking forward to next year’s celebration of our 250th birthday, President Trump said:

“I hope that all countries who find inspiration in our example will join us in renewing our commitment to the values that we hold so dear. Together, let us defend free speech and free expression. Let us protect religious liberty, including for the most persecuted religion on the planet today; it’s called Christianity.”

Trump’s Day

After President Trump concluded his address, he held four one-on-one meetings with U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, President Zelensky of Ukraine, President Milei of Argentina, and President Ursula von der Leyen of the European Union.

Then, Trump met with officials from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.

Last night, President Trump spoke again at the United Nations Leaders’ Reception before returning to the White House.

Joe Biden just took a nap, exhausted from reading Trump’s schedule.

Disturbing Discovery

Anyone who doesn’t believe we are already at war needs to pay close attention to this shocking news. The Secret Service recently discovered and dismantled a sophisticated, illegal communications network installed in and around New York City.

U.S. Secret Service Director Sean Curran said, “The potential for disruption to our country’s telecommunications posed by this network of devices cannot be overstated.”

The Secret Service isn’t saying exactly who set up this network. But they did say that “foreign governments [were] communicating over that network to known criminals in the United States, and known organized crime, known cartels, and terrorist groups were using this network to run their communications anonymously and encrypted.”

According to reports, “The network was powerful enough to send an encrypted, anonymous text message to every person in the United States within just 12 minutes.” A top Secret Service official added, “This network had the potential to disable cellphone towers and essentially shut down the cellular network in New York City.”

U.S. officials believe similarly dangerous networks may be in place in other American cities.

Intelligence officials also believe this network was used to make “swatting” calls on at least three Republican officials—Senator Rick Scott (R-FL), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA), and former Governor Nikki Haley (R-SC). Notice that all three targets are Republicans.

This disturbing discovery gives extra urgency to the FBI’s investigation into left-wing domestic extremist groups.

Rewarding Terror

Britain, Canada, Australia, Portugal, Belgium, and France have all recognized a so-called “Palestinian state” in recent days. Recognizing the state of “Palestine” is a very strange thing to do because no nation called “Palestine” exists.

Under international law, there are four major criteria for every nation-state: a permanent population, a defined territory, an effective government, and the ability to conduct international relations.

There is no way that the West Bank under Mahmoud Abbas or Gaza in the clutches of Hamas meets that standard.

Countries recognizing a “Palestinian state” today are simply rewarding terrorism. They did this because of left-wing politics and fear of their growing Muslim populations, which is a growing danger.

Kowtowing to Islamic extremism will get these appeasers nothing. Mahmoud Abbas, the “moderate,” promptly informed Prime Minister Keir Starmer that Britain owes “Palestine” at least $2 trillion in reparations because Great Britain occupied “Palestine” from 1917 to 1948.

Bibi Responds

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately and forcefully responded to the countries recognizing “Palestine.” He said:

“There will be no Palestinian state… I have a clear message to those leaders who are recognizing a Palestinian state after the horrendous October 7 massacre: You are rewarding terror with an enormous prize.

"And I have another message for you: It’s not going to happen. There will be no Palestinian state to the west of the Jordan River. For years I have prevented the creation of that terror state, against tremendous pressure, both domestic and from abroad…

"The response to the latest attempt to force upon us a terror state in the heart of our land will be given after my return from the United States. Stand by.”

The Left’s Big Lie

While the Left claims that Donald Trump is a “fascist dictator” and a “tyrant” who forced Jimmy Kimmel off the air, ABC announced Monday that Kimmel will be back on. Trump’s alleged “fascism” lasted five days.

Of course, there’s no “fascism” here at all. The idea that Trump forced Kimmel off the air is not true and never was true. It was nothing more than companies making business decisions based on market pressures and common decency.

Meanwhile, market forces are still at work. Nexstar and Sinclair Broadcasting still don’t believe that Jimmy Kimmel should be allowed on the air. They told ABC that Kimmel’s show will not air on their ABC-affiliated networks. That’s the free market.

Don’t believe the lying fake news media.

Meanwhile, we just got another example of how the real threat to free speech is coming from the Left, not the Right.

In a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, Google admitted that “Senior Biden Administration officials, including White House officials, conducted repeated and sustained outreach to Alphabet [Google] and pressed the company regarding certain user-generated content … that did not violate [Google’s] policies.”

Google’s letter also admitted that the pressure from the Biden administration was “unacceptable and wrong.”

A Big Disconnect

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, a major polling firm asked Americans which side—Left or Right—is mostly responsible for political violence. Thirty-three percent said the Left is mostly responsible, while 29% said the Right is mostly responsible, and 24% said both sides were equally responsible for political violence in America.

How can a majority of Americans be so confused? You have to be living in an alternative universe to believe it’s both or mostly on the Right. Just look at the headlines from recent years.

  • A radical leftist tried to assassinate Donald Trump in Pennsylvania.
  • A radical leftist tried to assassinate Donald Trump in Florida.
  • Radical leftist Luigi Mangione assassinated a healthcare executive.
  • Radical leftist Tyler Robinson assassinated Charlie Kirk.
  • A left-wing antisemite used a makeshift flamethrower trying to burn Jews in Colorado.
  • A radical transgender leftist tried to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
  • Radical leftists attacked churches and crisis pregnancy centers after Roe v. Wade was overturned.
  • Radical transgender leftists firebombed Tesla dealerships.
  • Radical transgender leftists murdered Christian students in Nashville and Minneapolis.
  • Radical transgender leftists tried to assassinate immigration police officers in Texas.
  • Radical leftists are rioting in Portland against immigration enforcement.

I know the fake news media won’t do us any favors. But maybe elected Republicans should stop saying, “It’s both sides,” and aggressively reject any suggestion that political violence is coming from anywhere but the Left.

Speaking Of Violence…

California Governor Gavin Newsom made a big deal of signing a new law banning face masks for immigration police. The law is blatantly unconstitutional.

But Newsom is running for the Democrat presidential nomination, and the surest way to build “progressive cred” is to run on the bodies of law enforcement and look like you’re “resisting” Donald Trump.

The unfortunate reality is that law enforcement is facing an avalanche of doxxing and leftist violence. There are groups out there with one goal—get a picture of the officer’s face. Find out where they live. Find out the name of the officer’s wife and kids. Then make their lives miserable. It’s a nationwide problem.

In any normal country, the governor of our biggest state would be reaching out to law enforcement and others to say, “Let’s work together to stop the threats to the men and women who keep us safe.” But Newsom is doing the exact opposite, and as he does, his star shines brighter in the Democrat Party.
