I was in Colorado over the weekend to take part in the final memorial service for Dr. James Dobson. I was honored to be among those selected to eulogize Dr. Dobson and to pay my respects to his lovely wife, Shirley, and their family. Jim was a giant in Christendom, and he is in heaven with Jesus right now.
 
Over his many years, Dr. Dobson was well-known for the monthly letters he sent. They were a must-read for countless people around the country concerned about faith, family, and freedom. I wish there was one more Dobson letter—this one postmarked from Heaven.
 
I’m sure he would tell us that in Heaven, there is no pain, no suffering, and no disease. There are no cancer wards, no heart attacks, and no more medical exams. There are no hospital halls filled with the wails of people losing loved ones, no more wheelchairs, and no more death.
 
Where Jim is now, the blind see. The lame leap with joy. The deaf hear. There are no more wars, and no assassins filled with hate.
 
Jim Dobson loved Jesus, and he loved America. He dedicated his life to strengthening marriages and families, and he cared deeply about preserving our freedom. The best way we can honor the life and legacy of Dr. Dobson is to defend our faith and liberty with all our strength and love.
 
 
 
Jones Jolts Virginia Elections
 
Delegate Jay Jones is the Democrat candidate for attorney general in this year’s Virginia elections. He’s making headlines not for his policy ideas, but for his violent fantasies against conservatives.
 
In a series of text messages from 2022, Jones wrote this about then-Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates Todd Gilbert: “Three people, two bullets. Gilbert, Hitler, and Pol Pot. Gilbert gets two bullets to the head.” There it is—the hate that has become commonplace on the Marxist Left.
 
Then he went after Gilbert’s children, calling them “little fascists” and even threatened their lives. He said Gilbert’s wife should have to hold her dying child in her arms because “only when people feel pain personally do they move on policy.”
 
This is just another example of the demonic mindset that has taken over the Democrat Party. No Democrat leaders in Virginia, including Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine or other members of the congressional delegation, have called for Jones to drop out of the race. They are cowards.
  
Jones is the Democrat candidate for attorney general—the chief state officer in charge of enforcing the laws of Virginia. Imagine if a Republican candidate had made these threats when he was in office. Big Media would create a firestorm about the “fascists running the country and threatening our democracy.”
 
Virginia Democrats have quite a ticket this year. Their nominee for governor worked at the CIA and then at a center associated for years with Islamic supremacists before getting elected to Congress.
 
The Democrat nominee for lieutenant governor is a far-left extremist who sponsored legislation protecting abortionists and doctors who sterilize and mutilate children.
 
Winsome Earle-Sears, the Republican candidate for governor, released a new ad connecting Jay Jones to her Democrat opponent.
 
President Trump, Vice President Vance, Speaker Mike Johnson, and Governor Glenn Youngkin have all called for Jones to drop out of the race. No Democrat has done so. It’s the same mindset of the people who were dancing on Charlie Kirk’s body before he was even buried.
 
It should be crystal clear where political violence in America is coming from. In this age we are in, the Left is all in on political violence.
 
 
 
Left-wing Hate
 
What Jay Jones said is exactly what we’re living through. Someone with his mindset put a bullet in the neck of Charlie Kirk. Someone with his mindset tried to put a bullet in Donald Trump’s head.
 
Sunday morning, the traditional mass for Supreme Court justices was held at Saint Matthew’s Cathedral in Washington, D.C., marking the beginning of the court’s new term. (See below.) Before the service began, police arrested a suspicious man outside the cathedral with a Molotov cocktail.
 
A leftist filled with hate like Jones flew from California to the Washington, D.C., suburbs to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The wannabe assassin only got eight years in jail. Why? The Biden-appointed judge said she didn’t want to put him in jail with men for very long because he “identifies” as a transgender woman.
 
That insane mentality is another indication of the demonic hold over the Democrat Party. The Big Three networks totally ignored the judge’s outrageous decision.
 
Meanwhile, a new poll found that 30% of Americans believe we “may need to resort to violence to get the country back on course.” That’s roughly 100 million Americans who are willing to at least entertain engaging in political violence. Eleven percent—38 million people—"strongly agreed" with that statement.
 
Houston, we have a problem.
 
 
 
The Portland Insurrection
 
Virtually every night, a federal immigration facility in Portland, Oregon, comes under siege. Oregon Democrat officials at every level of government are allowing insurrectionists to attack a federal facility. They will not allow local police to help.
 
So, President Trump intervened and ordered National Guard troops to be deployed. But a federal judge just told the president, “You can’t send anyone else to help.”
 
This is reminiscent of how our Civil War began. Southern forces told federal troops in Fort Sumter to get out. When they didn’t, the fort was attacked. Realizing the situation was hopeless, the troops abandoned the federal facility to an insurrectionist force in South Carolina.
 
The only difference is that these insurrectionists are telling the federal government to get out of Portland or there will be violence, but the Trump administration is not surrendering.
 
 
 
The Chicago Insurrection
 
There is a similar situation unfolding in Chicago, where mobs of radical leftists have repeatedly attempted to block immigration police. Their insurrectionist activities seriously escalated over the weekend.
 
On Saturday, immigration police vehicles were surrounded, boxed in, and rammed by radical leftists in 10 cars. Several of these leftists were armed. Immigration police were forced to fire defensive shots to stop the attack. When the federal immigration police called the Chicago Police Department for help, the Chicago police were ordered not to respond.
 
Later in the day, another immigration police vehicle was rammed by an illegal alien in a separate attack.
 
Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem said that Antifa, revolutionary organizations, gangs, drug cartels, and known terrorist groups are putting bounties on the heads of immigration police officers. If you kidnap one, you get $2,000. If you kill one, you get $10,000.
 
I am not aware of any Democrat official, including Gov. J.B. Pritzker, who has condemned the attacks. Meanwhile, Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) continues to demonize our immigration police as the “Gestapo.” Hollywood celebrities, including Barbra Streisand and Rob Reiner, are crying about “Trump’s threat to democracy.”
 
This is the truth: We are in the middle of a left-wing insurrection that could lead to a civil war. Whatever you think happened on January 6, 2021, it was a picnic compared to what is happening now in our major cities.
 
There is an insurrection taking place from one end of the country to another, and it has been going on for months now. It is gaining strength. Unlike January 6th, there are powerful forces in the media, the culture, and the courts who defend it.
 
 
 
Trump Was Right
 
When President Trump announced that he was sending federal law enforcement to get crime under control in Washington, D.C., there was a barrage of pushback. City officials, Democrats on Capitol Hill, and the Washington Post all alleged that crime in the capital was way down, other than the little nuisance category of carjackings. (That’s sarcasm.)
 
At the time, Trump said, “D.C. gave Fake Crime numbers in order to create a false illusion of safety.” That triggered a wave of media criticism alleging that the president was “making things up again.”
 
Well, yesterday’s Washington Post had a very interesting article. At least three dozen D.C. police officers have come forward saying the city is “cooking” the books on crime stats.
 
Big cities under Democrat/socialist control are rife with corruption and they lie about more than crime states. D.C. area schools cooked the books on suspensions and graduation rates and even made-up fake students to keep getting per pupil federal dollars.
 
How did the Des Moines school system hire an illegal alien with multiple criminal offenses to be its superintendent?  They are corrupt.
 
Why would anyone believe the mayors of any city like Boston, Chicago, or Philadelphia about what the truth is?
 
And consider this: Why would we trust these same corrupt officials of these cities to count the votes on Election Day and then tell us, “There is no evidence of cheating”?
 
 
 
A New Term
 
It’s the first Monday of October, which means the Supreme Court is beginning a new term. There are huge cases before the court that will have a major impact on the future of the United States.
 
For example, if the court rules that the president has no authority to impose tariffs, it will throw the economy into chaos and disrupt the president’s ability to negotiate with foreign nations.
 
Other important cases involve birthright citizenship, presidential authority over the federal bureaucracy, men in women’s sports, religious liberty, and election integrity.
 
 
 
Day 6
 
It’s Day 7 of the Schumer Shutdown. The House of Representatives is out this week for a district work period. So, there is only one way the government shutdown ends before next week—the Senate must pass the bill approved by the House that provides short-term funding for the government.
 
If Senate Democrats continue to refuse to support that bill, they are continuing to shut down the government.
