Rejecting Trans Lies in Every Arena — Physical and Virtual

We must reject the lies of transgender ideology with unyielding conviction, proclaiming God’s truth in every arena.

By Sarah Holliday

The true fight against transgenderism is one that stays consistent across physical and non-physical lines. There’s a simple reason why. Because while physical advantages — like those of trans-identifying men dominating women’s sports — grab headlines, the root of this issue is and always will be mental and spiritual.

Over the weekend, a trans-identifying man won the “women’s only” Fortnite video game championship called “Milk Cup.” Yes, alongside his biological female teammate, he won an esports tournament, taking home a large trophy and $78,000 in prize money. According to the organizers, Gotta Have Milk, this event was created “to provide women with more opportunities to succeed in esports. It’s a space designed for women to compete at the highest level, for serious money.” The group went further, stating how “this is more than just a competition. It’s a blueprint for how gaming should be, and a platform for women on a journey toward professional esports — fueled by milk.”

How ironic. This platform, allegedly “for women,” allegedly creating events so women can have more opportunities to succeed, still allowed them to be beaten by a man. You might shrug and say, “It’s just video games. No one’s getting hurt.” I confess, that was my first instinct, too. But a piercing truth cuts through: It matters because the event was marketed as “women’s only.” The organizers’ website promises a space for women to thrive, yet they permitted a man to claim victory. Sure, no physical harm was done, but the betrayal of trust and truth is indisputable.

Why would they allow this? Only two explanations make sense. First, they genuinely believe trans-identifying men are women — a delusion that’s disturbingly widespread. Second, they know the truth but simply don’t care. If you ask me, the former is almost more alarming, since it reveals a rejection of reality so profound it defies reason.

I read something the other day: “When you have gender identity issues, your brain is wrong, not your body. [The] brain must adjust to body. Not the other way around.” It’s one thing to get wrapped up in an ideology and the movement it leads to. For many, it probably feels good to chant, “Trans rights are human rights!” Trans ideology has exploded from obscurity to a cultural juggernaut in just a few years. Not long ago, we weren’t battling trans agendas in schools or shielding children from the dangers of “gender-affirming care.” The ideology gained traction not because it’s true, but because it became fashionable — a secular “moral” cause for the masses to rally behind, raising their voices into a deafening chorus of trans propaganda.

But how many people in this ideological cacophony are simply wearing the trans fashion until it goes out of style, and how many have it tattooed on their hearts?

It’s hard to fathom, but there are those who believe a man can become a woman and a woman can become a man. Of course, this perception is rooted in falsehood and an impressive amount of mental gymnastics. Yet, for those of us who recognize that gender is a fiction and that biological sex is an unchangeable binary, our response must be resolute. Whether the issue is a man dominating women’s sports or a trans-identifying male winning a “women’s only” esports tournament, the principle remains: truth cannot bend to ideology.

We should be bothered by a man winning a “women’s only” gaming tournament, because he is not a woman. Dismissing this as “just a game” sends a dangerous message. It tells ideologues, “Sure, he’s not a woman, but it’s not a big deal if no one’s physically harmed.” It signals that lying about a “women’s only” space is acceptable as long as the stakes seem low. But truth doesn’t change based on the arena. If we falter in the digital realm, we weaken our stand in the physical one too. Every concession emboldens the ideology that seeks to rewrite reality.

We must stand firm in truth, both physically and digitally, because God’s design for humanity is unchanging. Genesis 1:27 declares, “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” This reality is not negotiable. To compromise or sit back in any sphere — whether sports, gaming, or culture at large — is to chip away at the foundation of truth. As Christians, we are called to “speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15) and to “stand firm in the faith” (1 Corinthians 16:13), resolute in our commitment to God’s created order.

We cannot allow men to invade women’s categories, whether in stadiums or internet servers, because they are not women — and they never will be. Permitting this isn’t just unfair to women, robbing them of opportunity and dignity; it’s an act of complicity in affirming delusion. A man on the track is as destructive as a man online if both are allowed to masquerade as women.

So, what do you think about a trans-identifying man winning a “women’s only” gaming tournament? I’ll tell you what it makes me think: It’s an outrage — a brazen assault on truth. We must reject the lies of transgender ideology with unyielding conviction, proclaiming God’s truth in every arena, for His glory and for the good of those lost in deception. The battle for truth is now, it’s everywhere, and we cannot afford to falter.
